    If a club are willing to pay 20m for a player I think that suggests he's got ability.

    Sheffield wednesday reached the play off final of the championship last season over the course of a 50 game league season (including play off matches) that suggests they are a decent season considering how competitive the championship is.

    Without McArthur's last minute goal against Lithuania this world cup campaign would already be over. I think he therefore deserves to stay in the squad.

    McGregor has not contributed anything to the world cup campaign and it would not be fair to bring him in now

    It doesn't. It just means they've got plenty of money to throw away..

    Cairney is decent player who has a good left foot but he's nowhere near worth that..

    The championship isn't a great standard whatsoever. Look at Ipswich high flying with their striking duo..

    Lithuania are pish..

    Every squad should be based on current form, or else we should just name 1 squad through qualifying. There is an abundance in that side who haven't kicked their own * for month's or longer..

    I actually cannot believe he isn't in the Scotland squad, not even for the fact he should be first choice but he's a Strachan type player and the most composed and tidy midfielder Scotland have available to them.

    Bit embarrassing tbh.

    Decisions like this are why Strachan eill lose his job and Scotland wont see a world cup for 20 years.
    its like watching a * re-run time after time. Brown, armstrong, mcgregor, teirney, griffiths. Thats a spine of a team that play every other week at the highest level this country has seen in years...
    Chin up Callum, plenty of people out there know you should walk into this squad.

    McGregor would be a stand-out for a no mark club like Sheffield Wednesday, I believe he'd walk into any squad in the Championship. It's over-rated pish. Guys like Daryl Murphy have bombed up here then went on to do well there. Strachan has a hard-on for players that play down there for whatever reason; to overlook McGregor whose technique, assists and goals would benefit Scotland greatly is symptomatic of why they'll be sitting at home again next tournament.
