£118 million rejected for Coutinho? I was disgusted by £90 million rejected.

Neymar's transfer has * football. It was already in a different dimension, but it was explainable, what with the TV revenues and how much value the players themselves bring to the game.

This Summer. It's *. It's official.

The top 3 players in the world could maybe command 9 figure sums, but now Phillipe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembèle can apparently...

 

Knocked back £118m for Coutinho?

They're off their * heads.

£8m he cost years ago ffs, could probably go invest that £100m+ and go fix their defence.

 

Only problem is teams know they have the money now. If they were smart they should have told PSG to keep quiet about Neymar and signed Dembele and Coutinho first, they'd probably have got them for about £80million and £100million which would have been record sums. Now they will need to spend about £120million each or more cause everyone knows they're desperate and they have the money.

Same for PSG, they should probably have signed Mbappe first for about £100million but now Neymar went for £200million his price seems to have risen by £30-40million.

Liverpool will have the same problem if they sell Coutinho for £120million, that Keita they want will suddenly cost them about £90million so nocunts really benefitting, the only team that might are Dortmund who usually only sign cheap players, the money they get for Dembele they will be able to raid small teams for players, maybe even us for Dembele next year or that.

 

Coutinho is majorly overrated. I know that ridiculous money is being spent on every * nowadays, but £118 million for Coutinho? Christ.

Take it and run. Then sort out that defence.

 

That Neymar transfer has made high profile transfer prices even more inflated now by the looks of things, as if it wasn't bad enough already. Wonder what prices for top level players will be in 10-20 years time. I shudder to think.

 

Apparently the deal was *. £80m spread over 5 years, then the rest from stupid * like balloon de fixor etc.

In 20 years time if football hasn't gone * bust, I'd imagine it will touch tips with 1 billion, at that point though if it ever comes to that, something will need done about money in football.
