    I don't actually think that Astana are as bad as you are making out. We know that they don't travel well and I think the occasion got to them last night and along with a bit of luck we made them look bad. It is their home form that they rely on. Look at Beer Sheva last season, we put 5 past them at home and managed to put them out of the champions league. They then went on to qualify for the last 32 of the Europa League, coming out of a group which both Inter Milan and Southampton failed to.

    They are still a good team and were unlucky to not score. Game was on a knife edge until our first goal settled us down.

    Maybe i'm being harsh, but the astana defence and midfield were non-existent last night. I don't think we'll go over there and win easy or anything if that's how i sounded.

    Finally managed to drag myself out of my wanking chariot after the celebrations last night. What a * game that was. Astana started off well to be fair and I was surprised at how they were trying to close us down from the get-go. Thoroughly annihilated them once we got going though, and it's one of the few qualifier games I managed to actually enjoy, especially in the 2nd half. Usually these games just fry my nerves!

    Absolutely superb!

    If any aspect of Roberts' signing was dependant on CL football, that has truly been overcome now. Hope we can sign him on a permanent now.

    They looked strongest on the counter attack. Had a fair bit of the ball at the start of the game but it was played in areas of comfort, in front of our defence. They did press well to begin with. As soon as the players worked out how to play through the press, they started to struggle. After the 3rd goal they were just clinging on. The goalkeeper looked very poor.
