Thought his use of the ball and dealing with it under pressure was key for us tonight. Their whole game was based on that pressing and we played through it, before running them into the ground.

Likewise Jozo, Brown and Ntcham, very impressive under pressure tonight.

I wanted us to sign a CB.

I think Boyata can be excellent.

But by * it would be harsh to drop the big man after back-to-back clean sheets in crucial European games.

Said before the game (and for the last few weeks) Bitton's never a CB.

I'm going to shut the * up, and fire the wire brush and dettol into my mouth for ever daring to go against one of Brendan's decisions....

Lustig too mate an experienced and composed performance don't think he gave the ball away once and it was a great through ball for Rogic..

ehilsy I agree Bitton did pretty well, let's not kid ourselves. Some sloppy passes. A team like even Napoli would take advantage of that. We need a better cb for the groups, weather that be boyata or someone else

Heard BR on radio Scotland talking about Bitton playing and he said he has heard that there was some debate on the merits of Bitton playing at CB however he knows best (BR) and Bitton commits less mistakes than some CB's he has seen.

Personally i will agree with him :giggle1:

Excellent tonight. Brendan singled him out for applause in front of us after the game Boyata style. Great touch again by our manager

    Still need a CB..

But can we attract one that's better than Sviatchenko, Boyata or Bitton? No point buying for the sake of it and we have the promising Ajer..

Superb at the back. Shows Brendan really knows what he's doing.

Solid at the back and could pick a pass. Is he the answer to our centre back problem?

BR on Bitton: "Outstanding in his game. Defending, taking the ball and the ability to find that midfield player."

    * cheery individual you are.

My comment was based on his performance tonight. Not if it was against Napoli or Real Madrid.

Sloppy passes were happening all night, Lustig and Griff chose to careless back heels in the 1st half and Napoli might have scored from them as well. They happen in every game. But I would rather we tried to play football the way we did tonight, than forgo that because folks arses collapse because its not punted 60 yards up the park.

Woah! Easy ffs. Am just pointing out whilst he done well tonight you surely can't trust him to take us on to better things. Nothing wrong than wanting Celtic to reach the next level.

My pint is very much so half full. I can't stop smiling in fact. Just recognising where we could be better going forward

    Save your negativity for tomorrow.

Even his most ardent of haters are showing him the praise he deserves tonight (along with the rest of the team).

So rest your fingers for tonight, then let the games begin tomorrow.

Look,we know it's not ideal to be playing a midfielder at centre-half but it's the circumstances we are in at the moment. And in those circumstances, is which the player should be judged. Bitton done very well.

Do I think we should play him in that position permanently,No. I don't think anybody does. Bitton probably doesn't. But credit to the guy for his performance. As I said earlier, he took the ball under pressure and found passes to get us out and going forward.
