Just thinking about where it turned for him. Gotta be that beautiful goal v Motherwell when were 2-0 down at Fir Park. After that he's been a brilliant asset to the team.

He is great to have when a team sticks ten men behind the ball he can jink and control the ball in tight positions

Named in the SPL team of the week
    https://spfl.co.uk/news/article/spfl-team-of-the-week-13-73/

    MC - Callum McGregor (Celtic)

The best player on the park as Celtic easily defeated Hearts 4-1 in the Ladbrokes Premiership's curtain-raiser. Not only did the midfielder buzz about the midfield in his typically energetic style, he also contributed to the attack by continually getting beyond the forwards. Though he didn't get on the scoresheet, he did cross for Leigh Griffiths to put the game to bed at 3-0.

So the SPFL canny retrospectively strip the titles but can strip the goals?

One very, very petty gripe from the weekend was him laughing after missing the chance to put us 2-0 up just before half-time. I know it is his personality and it is great to see him enjoying his football, but top players should be annoyed at themselves when they miss opportunities. See Griff's reaction to missing the chance before he scored, for example.
I will counter this by saying his form is sensational and he seems to be loving it, I had him wrote off as a Celtic player, the fact he is no making a case to be in our strongest eleven, despite midfield signings, says it all about him and his attitude in general.

If he gets too annoyed he will then start over doing it and doing worse. Sometimes it's better to laugh it off... unless your cha and just scored an own goal in Europe...

I don't want lads to be punching their own faces either, just to show a bit of disappointment in themselves when they know they can do better.
It is an incredibly minor gripe though!

    No mention for wee McGregor?

Terrific again when he came on for me. Didn't do anything spectacular but the way he just keeps the control of the game and his ability to settle into a match is scary good. Thought he played a good part in them losing the rag with some of his wee turns. Good job Callum!

Outstanding again when he came on.

Say it all the time but you'd think he was Spanish. So so comfortable on the ball.
