If we get a half decent ref too we will be OK, the ref at Parkhead was a real *.
And the fact that Rosenberg struggled badly to beat Dundalk at home all works in our favour. Plus if their centre back is out and the big Icelander dozen't play all good.

Reasoning i think behind Hayes up top is his movement not his goalscoring. Rogic up top never caused them any problems because his game isnt making runs behind the defence. It was easy for their centre halfs last week. Hayes will drag their defenders all over the place, make things a bit difficult for them.

Bookies make us 6/4 favourites to win the game in 90 minutes.

8/15 to qualify to the next round.

Favourites away to Rosenborg, didn't see that one coming.

Well I wasn't. If you check my post history you can see that I was really worried about this; but I'm relatively confident now.

The big Scandinavian teams are rarely mugs (it's the kind of team you usually expect to face in the playoff round) and playing them when we are still in preseason and they are in the middle of theirs is a nightmare. Our record in these ties in recent years is roughy 50/50. Add to that we had no striker and it was a nightmare draw for this round TBH.

You did indeed prove to be no mugs and our lack of match sharpness or a striker did indeed make us a bit toothless; but you didn't take your chances. I think you'll regret that. A 0-0 was actually a good result for us (c.f. 3-3 against Malmo, which was a terrible result). So this week we will be stronger, we are two matches further into our season (including our first truly competitive match worthy of the name) and we may even have a striker; you will be weaker with your best defender missing.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that the tie is still open; but I'd put us as favourites now (maybe 80/20). Before the game at CP I would have said this was 50/50 based on how we have done against the big Scandinavian teams n these matches recently and our striker crisis. I was far more worried then.

Agree the ref seemed to give a foul every challenge we made. If we knock the ball about like we did first half we will break them down add they need to attack more

I'll be progressively more nervous the closer we get to Wednesday, and if you tell me Griffiths is out I'll be putting us as definite second favourites.

That's just pre bottle of Bucky nerves talking. Come the 2nd sip and you'll be full of confidence even with 11 youth defenders playing :56:

Although if this goes to penalties I'll * the couch. Towel preparation if it gets that far will be required.

    * penalties. Only ever used to be confident with those when we had the holy goalie.

Dont think my nerves could handle penalties.
We should have more than enough in the locker to put this mob away, striker or not.
