First time i've watched F1 in a long time probably since I was about 12 or 13 and it's utter pish.

 

Daniil Kvyat is quite possibly the worst F1 driver I've ever seen, well at least since Yuji Ide. * makes Stroll and Maldondo look like Senna and Prost.

More exciting than a Mazda Kevin? I beg to differ. The best sounding race car ever, the Mazda 787b, not to mention it looks better than any Ferrari ever made/

It should be binned on safety grounds alone.
Drivers are supposed to be able to exit their cars in under 9-10 seconds.
The FIA are now trying to change that in order to have this stupid thing implemented.

It's not going to save that many lives as to me it offers little protection from anything other than a wheel.
Whereas if a driver burns to death like they did in the good old days because they couldn't exit their car in time - who gets charged with manslaughter?

Have to admit I it looks awful. Glad they canned it the last time they tried to introduce it. It doesnt give the driver 100% visibility, so how is that safe?? It would be very distracting. I understand they are trying to make it safer but why don't they have ABS or airbags or traction control? Would that not make it safer?? But then it dilutes the rawness of motorsport. Just thought the very nature of the sport, there is a risk. That's why we watch it. That's why the drivers are committed and very highly paid. Get a * grip FIA, you are making the sport even more unpopular.

 

Just imagine the thing deflecting something down into the path of the driver rather than up and away. If safety is the true goal the only option is a fully-closed cockpit, and at that point you've fundamentally altered the sport.
