It had plenty to do with it. It was like the Gorbals morgue there tonight.

Nothing to do with the result. The atmosphere actually started good but the more compact Rosenborg got, frustration quickly set in. They made it difficult as expected.

Same mistakes he made last year ? Hasn't learned from them we played few game with out striker last year and we're woeful apart from hearts game why the * did he then think was a great idea to do that in a crucial game like this aitchinson was a better option even though he is young

It actually felt like we played with 10 men because there was no striker, if Griffiths is out the next game we could be *.

The fact we dont have a striker for the most important game of the season is * pathetic.
So much for turning a corner and doing things right. We have saved * loads in wages with the dead wood we got rid of and made a bit of money on transfers aswell. Looks like Lawell is waiting for a chunk of the VVD transfer.

Surely BR would have had targets from the end of last season, Lee Congerton better get looking for players and Peter Lawell better get the checkbook out.

Trying to be balanced here. I've calmed down since and I've seen us play much worse, so it's not all doom and gloom.

The problem is much more complex, though. In the space of just over a week, the club has manged to sour a vital feel-good factor. And I genuinely believe that plays a crucial role in the general performance of a team, just as it does for the fans.

The combination of banning your most vocal, active, colourful supporters, not preparing properly for contingencies (not the first time we've had Dembele and Griff out) and some rather uninspired decisions by Rodgers have really made a difference here. Without being hyperbolic, there's plenty of blame around to share. Because I've watched enough Nordic football to be sure we'll be facing a much more hostile and influential atmosphere and that, coupled with our overall record away in Europe and the lack of depth in the squad (when it comes to strikers and the different game plans you can come up with them) is concerning.

It does seem like the way Celtic has been run recently, there's always a collapse of some sort waiting around the corner and seasons are very much self-contained units that end in May. Beyond qualifying, I really hope there's some way of avoiding these customary extremes, whether it's related to the support, or investment. This doesn't require running up Sevco-level debts or the board being cowed by the Green Brigade, just being a bit more balanced and honest regarding the plans for this club.

Treat your fans more respectfully: the Celtic TV coverage today started with a glamorously produced recording of a GB chant.

Stop being such facetious PR men: if your ambitions really are as high as you nauseatingly repeat every day, then prove it in investments.

Also, regardless of how much I genuinely respect the GB, the fact the the atmosphere for such a game hinges on about 300 people hardly does justice to the whole "best fans in the world" mantra. I really don't want to offend anyone with this, it's just how I feel and I realise this is rich coming from someone who only gets to attend about 5 games a season.

Not having a striker played a part in my opinion.
