    Aye by possibly losing £30m and european football cause we wont buy a 3rd striker!

    Surely could have got someone on loan even for 6 months, look at every other SPFL team that have 3 or 4 strikers! SHAMBOLIC!

    To be fair prior to last season Griffiths was never injured. Dembele hamstrings seem to go quit a bit but we sorted out Forrest so maybe he will be on the same routine as him soon.

    Looks like we will bring cifti home... :fear:

    We have the 2 best strikers in Scotland and one of them is coveted by top European clubs. Just who do you propose we bring in that will be a) happy to sit on the bench b) be on a fairly low wage and c) available to sign for a modest fee. We have a 3rd striker he is called Ciftci but he is pish. And guess what he ticks all the above boxes. It would be extremely difficult to get a 3rd choice striker who would have any sort of champions league quality, if we look for a 3rd striker we usually end up with a shitebag like him. We have young Atchison and Sinclair can play there in an emergency.

    we signed John Hartson as a 3rd striker to compete with Larsson and Sutton.

    There must be someone out there tbh he wouldnt be 3rd choice other 2 are injured quite a bit.

    Sorry Sinclair was gash anytime i seen him through the middle last season still a great player though

    That was 16 years ago man in a different era and formation. Are you advocating we go out and spend 6 million on a 3rd choice striker? O'Neil played 3-5-2 and so Hartson was signed as 3rd choice but knowing he would get lots of game time. We play one up top. A 3rd choice striker is seeing a handful of games a year barring injury.

    Have to keep in mind when Hartson was brought in as a 3rd striker, we played 2 up front.

    Finding a decent 3rd option is much harder when we only ever play with one, they'd be accepting the risk of never getting a game.

    Of course we shoudl have someone as backup, but we'll never get someone that good relative to dembele/griffiths.

    One striker is out because he tied a scarf to a goalpost in a hostile atmosphere. That's why we're going into this massive game with no strikers. Injuries I can accept. Stupidity I cannot.

    nah a dont think so mate somehow i have always posted on here about the treble, do you not think it is ridiculous the season hasnt really started and both our strikers are injured with no back up at all except a 17 year old wee boy
