We were outplayed in Sweden and finished clinically. Nothing wrong with it of course, we've been on the receiving end plenty of times.

That's true. Although from what I've seen in recent seasons the guy sitting quietly is usually the first to fire abuse at the team when things aren't going so well. Sat next to a few guys last season who would sit quietly for most of the game, but the second a mistake was made they were up screaming at whoever made it.

according to some i know, ole dundalk were very unlucky , prolly not the force of old rosenborg, 13/10 is an easy £130 if you can spare the 100 , we will win 2 or 3 nil or im moving into a tent

Not sounding arrogant but Rosenborg couldn't beat Dundalk over 180 minutes and by all accounts Dundalk where unlucky not to go through, I heard Dundalk hit the bar in ET also!

I watched most of both legs of the Dundalk game. They weren't great. Dundalk conceded a sloppy goal in the first leg & the Rosenburg gk made a fantastic save at 1-0 Dundalk in the second leg. Dundalk went ahead both legs.
If we can't dispose of these over two legs then we've no right to think of ourselves as a serious European team. They're not good.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting to steamroll them, but we should score home & away. No doubt they'll up their performance but I'm quite confident.

Katagandy also hit the bar and would have put us out :fear: nothings sure in European football. They could defend for 90 and win 2-1 with only 2 chances.

    I'm * it.

After 3 mins and were 2 up I'll be happy :56:

Aye Karagandy was lennys watershed moment for me we sneaked through and that team was practically broken up within that season!

I see people talking about our previous records in Sweden and Norway.

The biggest point is, we're a completely different side in comparison to those who have played previously. Drew away to Man City and Gladbach, after an absolute pasting against Barcelona.

For me that is a bigger marker for how we will perform, than what happened years ago.

Thing is, we haven't been up against decent sides since Man City in December. Now we're up against the top team from a league similar in quality to the SPFL. These two legs will give us an indication to how different we really are compared to the Celtic side who qualified last season.

I don't doubt for a minute that Rosenborg will give us the biggest challenge. However I don't believe that this team is worse off 12 months down the line. It's a more settled side, has better quality and its a side that has proven to have the right mentality for games even those against Linfield(despite the obvious cassum in quality).

I was merely highlighting the fault in comparing or factoring in performances under previous managers and very different squads against Scandinavian clubs.

Over the two games we will prove too strong. No disrespect to Rosenberg but we will be focused and fit. 4-1 over two ties.

I'm guessing it must have been against linfield where he picked up the injury, hacking * that they are.

Didn't hear any reports about any injury concerns post Linfield? Would have heard something as the game was almost 5 days ago.
