Dunno mate. Got a £5 anytime ticket between Newcastle and Sunderland. My train gets in at 10:15 and there is a 10:30 train to Newcastle that gets to Sunderland at 10:49. Depends on where I meet up with folk. Meeting a guy in Newcastle and then got some mates getting the train down from Edinburgh but that is later so might just see them in Sunderland. Also have to wait and see if Gyp's boycott extends to away games :fear:

Stupid question. Can you drink on the metro ?

What time are youse going across from the TIC ?

I remember debating this with you in 2015... lol

We would still be a business and you've drawn an ugly comparison, but at least with fan ownership we could never fall into the hands of someone who wants to use us a their wee toy..

Fan ownership is a bad idea. Proof proof in the pudding is we're arguing about it right now :56:

I don't think having a board elected by the fans and answerable to the fans can possibly be a bad thing..

Anyway we could round in circles all day.. :giggle1:

I don't believe there's any real appetite for fan ownership, people are usually happy as long as things are going alright on the park.

For me, Big Sutton nails it here, especially as the opposition is so irrelevant to us now. It's us that are keeping them relevant, and that goes for Linfield and Sevco. We are so far ahead of them they shouldn't even register.....

Thanks mate. My sister was super * about this ban and was suggesting that the club make about 3.5m a season from GB merch with half going to charity. Do we know if this is true? It's quite a remarkable sum if so.

listening to supporters opinions on here its clear there's a lot of passion for the club, but finding two or more people with the same opinion on whatever subject is near impossible, which is why I believe fan ownership would never work.

    http://www.extratime.ie/articles/19...fined-10000-for-crowd-trouble-against-celtic/

Linfield vowed to seek 'financial redress' after they were fined €10,000 by UEFA and ordered to close a section of Windsor Park following crowd trouble during their Champions League qualifier against Celtic in Belfast last Friday.

A statement released by the club on Thursday evening confirmed the club has been cooperating with the Police Service of Northern Ireland over antisocial behaviour by a small pocket of home fans. The charges related to two separate incidents during and after the game, which Celtic won 2-0 before winning the return leg 4-0 at Parkhead.

Linfield were charged with objects, including an empty glass bottle of Buckfast, being thrown at Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths as he attempted to take a corner. A further charge was levelled against the club when fans invaded the pitch after full-time when Griffiths attempted to tie a Celtic scarf to one of the goalposts.

“Linfield FC shares the frustration of the vast majority of our many loyal and genuine supporters who have been rightly appalled by this negative and unwelcome behaviour and the punitive sanction it has attracted,” read the statement on the club's website. The club is cooperating fully with the PSNI over possible prosecutions and will seek financial redress from any identified individuals through the civil courts.”

Griffiths was charged and suspended for one match as a result of his behaviour, while Celtic were also fined €4,500 for failing to control their players as they picked up five bookings.

The Green Brigade are fantastic on a regular basis, best fan section I've witnessed at Celtic bar none, same goes with the majority of the banners. Absolute credit to the guys who put the work in to them.

They need to cut out the shoot ourselves in the foot mentality though, You could hear Lawell getting the cheque book out on Wednesday, surely they'd have known this and just not cared.

It's absolutely tragic that we're missing a huge element of our noise for Wednesday and flag Day. Absolutely gutted for the guys.

In my eyes board have acted in fear of stadium closure, The fine a couple grand, no biggie, stadium closure goes into the millions and that could cost us transfer targets.

This has not happened because of the GB republican opinionsThis has happened because of them continually breaking the rules and getting the club fined.

It seems to me that the GB are pretty well organised and they would know that at some point the Celtic board would have to crack down on them. When they were making the banner of the IRA volunteer, they knew full well there would be sanctions from UEFA. So what is their end game? Do they want to cause a split in the support, generate publicity for themselves or just be a pain in the * for the board. Only they can answer that.

And I've been to plenty of games.
