    This is Oliver Cromwell, one of the biggest mass murderers in British history. There is a statue outside the Houses of Parliament, a memorial at Marble Arch and a picture adorns the wall of the meeting room at 10 Downing Street. An idolisation of a cruel monster who showed no mercy on the Irish, women and children included. This is the people who have the power and media control to convince their masses that an oppressed people's struggle against their regime is nothing more than acts of terrorism. All the while their only crime was to humanise us animals.

    And people who come from streets blighted by sectarian violence arent supposed to take offence at people celebrating paramilitaries at a game of football?

    You either worry about offence or you. Crying offence at things aimed at yourself while actively trying to cause offence (or blatantly ignoring the potential to offend) is just silly and really comes down to point scoring.

    And personally, a rangers fan calling me a paedo because of my favourite football team causes me zero offence.

    not everyone in the park was singing our Irish folk songs, that's their choice but loads did and that's our choice, someone mentioned earlier that politics has no place at a football match, that is just not true

    Who is it exactly that is "crying" offence?

    Our whole existance as a club, our history beyond it offends others (and I don't think I'm wide of the mark here in saying it probably on some level offends folk like yourself).

    I think you know FINE well the undertones that take place in matches such like this, so pretending to sit on the fence (with so many splinters in your * that your rear end resembles the * from Hellraiser) whilst throwing out subtle (yet sly) digs like "illiterate neds playing rebel" is doing just as much to fan the flames as those "uneducated" folk banging drums and flying banners....

    What you fail to mention is that there are a fair number of fans of ours from Belfast. We live amongst the offended daily. If this was an English team, the banners would have been different. Linfield much like their Glaswegian cousins were built on sectarianism and supported by the Establishment of their respected countries. So let them play offended, you Sween on the other hand stand with your family and stop worrying about the opposition.

    There are only undertones because people continue to make it an issue. For a club the size and stature of celtic to get into a * for tat with Linfield fans just elevates the position of linfield (I feel the same about rangers).

    And im not sitting on the fence. Im just not getting drawn into who is more offensive than who, as if Linfield and their sorts act as some sort of benchmark for behaviour.

    Why on earth do you think Im offended by the history of Celtic if I dont get offended by rangers fans calling me a paedo?!

    My point isnt that im worried about the sensibilities of Linfield fans. My point is that it is dumb to risk trouble for your own club soley to try and cause offence. In doing so you are actually making Linfield and the likes a point of consideration when really they should be an after thought.
