Do like him, he did look ropey in that last game he played, but rusty.

I'd like to see him still around.

Kolo Toure is in talks to sign a contract with Celtic, after playing for the club last season.

France’s RMC report that Toure’s talks with Celtic are ongoing, and a key part of the negotiations is a future role as a coach with the Scottish Premiership club.

The 36 year old feels he still has plenty to offer on the pitch, rather than going for a coaching role straightaway, and is quoted by RMC as saying: “I have the legs to continue one or two seasons.”

RMC state that Toure is well respected among the Celtic squad, and by manager Brendan Rodgers, with the defender taking Moussa Dembélé ‘under his wing’ last season.

There’s no suggestion on how the talks are going from the French media outlet, and the general line sounds positive for Toure staying at Celtic, but, it could all depend on a coaching role for the player.

Whether Rodgers is as keen on that as Toure is, will probably be what the whole thing depends upon.

    Would rather Kolo than Erik.

Would take Kolo back, punt Erik and get a new cb in to play alongside Jozo.

A number of players have mentioned what a great influence he has been, most recently Ajer. Hope he stays on and has a coaching/mentoring role.

He'd bought a mansion in Stirling. Probably small change for him. I reckon we'll see him again.

Bring Toure back and Caulker in. Toure could play while Caulker gets back to match fitness...?

Caulker probably fitter than Toure, he's at an age and size where he needs a pre-season..:giggle1:

Toure won't exactly be match fit either.

They'd both probably still be a better option than Sviatchenko at this rate.

I'd have Anton Rodgers ahead of him just now

True, if we were planning on giving Toure a extension. Why did we not keep him on for pre season...

Boyata will be fit before Caulka or Toure would be. If we are keeping Erik and Ajer I don't think signing either of they two would be the answer.

I'd like kolo for one more season. I know against BMG he had a bit of howler but he played a big part in the qualifiers. With boyata out as well, could be a good move for both parties

When was the last time he had played a game prior to that? He clearly wasn't match fit. Kolo is a really fit guy for his age. You hear all the players say what a good athlete he is. He hasn't lost his fitness and ability over a few months.

Happy to keep Kolo as a player/coach, great back up and he's not past it at all. Still a fecking beast and has had a great impact in improving our defence.

He had a few bad games aye but had plenty crackers.

Would be brilliant to have around Ajer has already praised him and he could do wonders with Caulker as well (who he played with at Liverpool)

Wouldn't have been in the group stages without his performance in Israel imo.
