I wont listen to it but this is about the 4th time I've seen this nobody (honestly don't know who he is) talking * about Celtic. He's obviously trying to make a name for himself by doing so. Ignore that kinda * and anything from TalkSport as a rule.

 

Anyone else think Hayes played well when came on much more effective than Forest? Quicker, stronger and much more direct

 

Yeah I want him to start next week.

 

Thought Forrest done alright ,they were probably starting to tire when Hayes came on perhaps looked a bit livelier because of that

 

First competitive game of the season and people are on Forrest's case already..

Get a grip of yourselves..

 

STATEMENT FROM LINFIELD FOOTBALL CLUB

Linfield FC would like to commend our players and staff on a determined performance in tonight’s UEFA Champions League qualifying match against Celtic FC.

The match was played in a very good spirit and both teams played their part in delivering a highly competitive sporting occasion.

We were pleased that the majority of fans fully respected and heeded the advice we had given them ahead of the game and we commend the Linfield fans who got fully behind the team and produced a great atmosphere in the stadium. The operational plan to manage Celtic fans who purchased tickets against their club’s wishes also worked very well.

The club will be reviewing our own footage and investigating an incident that took place during the match where a number of objects were thrown on to the pitch. We are obviously very disappointed that a small number of people chose not to respect the club’s wishes.

Linfield FC strongly condemns these actions and will be taking all necessary steps to identify any individual who was engaged in this activity. The club takes the safety of fans, players and officials extremely seriously and there will be serious and lasting consequences for anyone involved.

I'm not a troll.

I have stood by my opinion and gave reasons why I expected such an outcome.

When it looked like I was wrong I mocked myself, when I was nearly proven right I did not come on here to gloat.

We all wanted a big win today - and at times it looked like it would happen - but big away wins in Europe aren't our speciality.

People genuinely wanted us to thrash Linfield because of their Loyalist connections but simply couldn't allow themselves to see that another outcome was possible. We could have won by more today but Linfield - in the second half - played above their level and we played below ours. I would also point out that our performance did get worse when the bottles came on the pitch.

On to Parkhead we go and I have no reasons to change my prediction that we will score 6. Linfield have had their cup final and normal service returns.

 

What game where you watching?

 

Some people will never give him credit mate.

Said it in another thread, some people would criticise him for getting one assist and not two and then criticise him in the next match for getting two assists and not three.

It's embarrassing.

Probably the same game i was watching in a CSC club and the majority thought the same,,,don't see what's hilarious about a guy's genuine opinion.

 

You thought Hayes was more effective than a guy who got an assist and ripped their left back to shreds all night. Probably would have had at lest another one assist if Sinclair had his shooting helmet on?

This Forrest stuff is getting * ridiculous now, I mean come on.

He was better than Sinclair today. Not anywhere do I see Sinclair getting slated.

It's beyond a joke to be honest.
