Getting beat off this mob even in the first leg would be worse than red imps, not about the calibre of player just for what it would mean for the fans.
It must not and will not happen.

Linfield aren't to blame for this fiasco. As they've publicly said, they're disappointed Celtic refused tickets.

At the end of the day 3,000 Celtic fans at £30 a head would have made a massive difference to their books

Someone should tell Celtic we are playing in Belfast on Friday instead of trying to sell us tickets for Celtic Park:fear:

Trying to punt Lyon tickets does my head in.

Wish supporters associations or even the GB had announced a boycott of the Lyon game, coming a matter of hours after a CL qualifier. GTF

Don't think many will go anyway, * off at the decision but all will be forgiven if we sign Paddy Roberts:84:

    "I'm neither a troll or a *"..

    That's debatable..

Thanks for giving us your expertise on Linfield though bud. Hopefully we soak up enough pressure to come away with a draw, as long as Gordon's on his a game..

Never ever get worried about these rounds. Even last year after the first leg it was obvious we'd overturn it.

Just looking forward to seeing us back in competitive action again on Friday. Reckon it'll be a handy 4-0 win.

I'm not claiming to be an expert, I am offering an opinion.

Take it or leave it but resorting to childish names says more about you than me.

100%, I was a little bit concerned with Astana and the second leg again against Beer Sheva. But in this round we should be easily progressing.

Just spoke to Linfield chairman Roy McGivern on the phone. Guy was good enough to take 5 minutes to explain a few things to me. I had phoned with a view of attending the game at Windsor and writing an exclusive piece for this forum and for research of other things im doing. He had to personally turn me down on the wishes of Celtic and restated that Linfield worked hard and had in place a plan to house 3,000 Celtic fans. He also said he felt that the Irish fans were very hard done considering the traveling we do. So that was good enough for their chairman to come on the phone to explain.

    No idea.

I thought he had played better recently, but in contrast to that, I've watched zero friendlies this pre-season.

You ain't half been waffling for someone who doesn't have a clue about how good Linfield are and how we may draw or get beat..

If you're gonna guess then isn't the educated guess no that we'll smash them silly? Rather than digging people out for the understandable confidence and predicting they'll score a late goal :56:

He's not entirely wrong, history shows these games are dodgy. What he is far, far wrong about is that it is 'ridiculous' to think we'd skelp them.

When you factor in a lot of thing's like, transition, manager included, player's coming back unfit etc then it can happen that we may not skelp them badly. Having Brendan a year down the line though and a mentality that is one of the best winning one's I can recall, then I wouldn't even give it a 1 in a thousand chance Friday..

We'll beat them and do it very well Friday..

Few on here know how good Linfield are.

Most people are overlooking our less than impressive away results in the Champions League and basing everything on last season and paper.

History shows that these games can and do cause us trouble and Linfield will, like we do when we play the "giants" of Europe, raise their game well beyond their level.

So, yes, some people are going over the top about what will happen. I hope I'm wrong but history seems to give my argument more credibility than those saying we're going to turn up and win 4-0.
