Maybe a MK1 Master System boxed and in good condition might be worth somewhere between £50 and £100 but the hideous Master System 2 is pretty worthless because it sold in the millions. Seen them MK2 go for £20 on Ebay.

Aye Mega Drive 1/2 are worth between 40-50 due to amount sold. Some of the cartridges with booklet and box can be worth more than the console.:50:

I've got a mint condition Japanese Rainbow Islands for my Mega Drive (looks like it was made yesterday) cost me £25. Seen it on Ebay recently and some nutter was wanting £100 for it. It's a good game but not £100+ good.

We're looking about £600 for it. Crazy. Old PS1 game can be expensive now.

Some people way over value the factory seal. Once saw a boxed and sealed Super Mario World going for £400. It's only the most common Super Nintendo game in existence and has practically no resale value, but some crazy * thought he'd get £400 for it...:giggle1:

Super Mario is sought after but not rare. About £20 boxed.

Had them too, loved them. The tongue was never quite as big as Pierre and beckham had though

Because it came with the first released Super Nintendoes in the Super Nintendo's box was just the cartridge and the instruction book for the game so the boxed versions of Mario World are a little bit rarer. Over the years I've had people sell me consoles for silly cheap prices (got a boxed Mario 3 pack NES for £6) so I've ended up with a few of the same systems and loads of doubles in my game collection.

A couple of months ago I sold a few of my doubles to the CEX shop on Sauchiehall Street. Sold them Mario World, F Zero, Mario Kart, a terrible fighting game: Dragon, the Bruce Lee Story (based on the film) and Super Soccer. I got £30 for all five and they will no doubt stick a £20 price tag on them all. None of the games I sold had boxes or instruction books. Games like Mario World, F zero and Super Soccer were among the original release games for the SNES so there are millions of them out there. It would be people like me who would by them and people like me know that Mario World and F Zero are 2 of the most common games for the SNES.

Was in the CEX on Union Street recently and they were selling unboxed NES's for £70 and Super Nintendoes for £50. That was quite strange to see a SNES for cheaper than a NES but the SNES sold way more in the UK than the NES so it is a little bit rarer. If an unboxed NES is going for £70 I wonder what sort of offer I'd get for my boxed Mario 3 NES? A guy I work with took his Amiga A500 Plus into CEX a couple of months ago, he was looking for £200 for it. It was boxed and in great condition and came with loads of games, software and extras. I think they offered him something like £50. When it comes to retro gaming I think more people are interested in the consoles. I would have bought his Amiga if he was selling it for a more reasonable price. I offered him £100 which I think was fair. I've got an Amiga A1200 any way that cost me £12.

It's quite interesting to see that loads of my old games, some of which I bought for peanuts seem to be appreciating in value. Any Konami games for the NES and SNES are worth holding on to, their value only seems to get higher.

I mind buying this when I was about 15, had zero interest whatsoever in cars.
