The block is rumoured to house between 400-600 people, this is looking rather grim.

Look at those brilliant people, all the people. Helping each other.

Bit of a digression here. Caught a brief bit of Good Morning Britain this morning. A woman on who has family that are missing, obviously desperate and hoping they might be in hospital.

She was getting grilled with questions, such a shame, then the camera slowly zooming in on her as she started welling up then crying.

Felt like the Truman Show when they are trying to get the perfect shot. Was so wrong and their attempt at showing compassion to the woman was lost as it came across more as trying to make "good tv". It was the same with a Sky reporter coming across a total * the other day at the scene probing people to say they saw dead bodies. They are ruthless some of these journalists, not an ounce of empathy inside them :38:

Hate the way this stuff is reported. From the helicopters flying right up to the flats where people are trapped to the attention * of a * that Piers Morgan is, acting like he's the voice of the people.

Ye noticed this yesterday,* trying to get the best (worst)story from people who were still trying to come to terms with what had actually just happened to them.
Its was sicking to watch them people being interview so soon after that tragedy when they were missing family members who could still be in the building.
I have to admit at first i found it a bit strange the people them selves agreed to be interviewed but then realised they were still in a state of shock and just were not thinking straight and surely these reporters could have sussed that out and let them be.

I agree with most that this is turning into a burning a media circus. Peoples remains are still to be removed and these media vultures are lookin for family member to emotionally milk for the profit of entertainment. It's unedifying.

It's just their jobs though, yous all watched it.

They are hardly going to just say "the building was on fire, come back next week and we might know more about what happened".

Nothing good will come out of this. Those in power never learn, and when the people rise up, they will be bribed with a few of the queens shillings, and being poor most will except it. While the youth you have the most energy will direct their anger and frustration at the authorities. Then the red tops step in and class them as sub human animals who are destroying their own community.
You hear the interviews, there is a lot of anger and the media is not helping.

I didn't watch it for long I can assure you, and it's the fact that it appears to be their jobs to sensationalise it that I have issue with.

Naw. It is their job to report on the situation how they choose to do that is up to them and the stations that employ them.

I disagree they are ruthless I just think they are * journalists with little or no common sense or common decency.

They are but they probably know what job they've to do as wel, the thing that draws in viewers is the sensationalist action and hyping up of situations so you canny really complain about it. If it was smarter and more informed and tastefully done a lot of people would probably switch it over to the other channel that are interviewing people in tears and asking them to describe the scenes and showing clips of people jumping out windows and running in fear as thats what people watch.

That cowardly snake May wouldn't even speak to residents or survivors. Only the rescue services. Because she * knows what her party have done.

Exactly, they are trying to out do each other and in doing so not showing any compassion to the poor people who have lost everything!

Then head home to their warm cosy houses while these people are sleeping on a sports centre floor!

I'm watching the broadcast about this on the news channel and while its obviously heart-breaking and those that are responsible (if that is found to be the case) need to face the consequences but the amount of grandstanding, by some, is as pathetic as the reporters who are shoving microphones into the faces of survivors.

I hope these MP's that voted against any recommendations for safety measures to be put in place are getting a chap on the door from the polis, as they had been warned that these type of high rises were a fire risk but did nothing about it. These * have got blood on their hands as far as i'm concerned.
