    I think its an odd one given Christie going back to Aberdeen is part of the deal. It feels like we have swapped an ok squad player for an ok squad player plus 1.2m. Unlike our usual policy there is no real sell on value and given his age we really need to get the best out of him pretty quickly.

    I think he is an ok addition and as I said earlier, if we are aiming for another treble as well as progress in europe past xmas then we need more players. But it feels like a bit of a nothing deal.

    Means we can rest Sinclair etc in the league after European games. He'll be good to have in Europe as well for his work rate if we're setting up defensively.

    Welcome Johnny Hayes, expecting him to be a replacement for gms and try and fight for a first team position. I'm optimistic about the transfer as I am hopefully optimistic that Roberts will sign

    Exactly the same for me.

    I have more confidence in Hayes coming off the bench than I would GMS, or even Forrest.

    I totally agree with this......it's about building a quality squad not just a quality team. We need 2 top quality players in each position. When Sinclair was out injuredl last season GMS was given the chance but failed to take it. Christie will benefit immensely going out on loan. He is not a wide player but a more central player. In Brendan we trust!

    Pretty underwhelming but I think he might surprise a few people ... I don't buy this notion that he's paddy's replacement either, will probably be a useful player for the amount of games we have this season.

    Hayes is criminally under rated on here by the sound of things. He has been the standout non celtic player for a few years now and alot of the time would be top three or four in the league including Celtic players. Wouldn't surprise me greatly if he ended up our top goal scorer/assister. A step down from Roberts but who wouldn't be?
