Recently found a wee traditional sweet shop up the Trongate quite close to that tiny arcade pub called Super Bario. They have this for £4 a tin and they have a few non original flavours like iron brew and cola. I played it safe and went for orange and it was lovely. I've tried a few Creamola Foam variants over the years and the Krakatoa Fizz from that wee sweetie shop is about the closest to the real thing I've came across since it was discontinued. The modern stuff is granules, I'm sure it was originally a powder.

No one really bought these back in the day because they were quite pricey but check out what people are wanting on Ebay these days for a Type 4 blank tape. £10+ for one 60 minute tape. I was always quite happy with the quality of a Type 2 TDK Chrome tape. Apparently Type 4 is as close to CD quality as you can get but I'll take people's word for it, don't fancy paying a tenner for 1 tape to find out, even though I have quite a decent Kenwood tape deck that hasn't chewed a tape in it's 21 years. It's one of those ones that has bunches of meaningless letters on it, it's got a CCRS button, * knows what that's for.

    They were the * business.

I looked them up recently, was talking to an old mate and it got me thinking about them and I wondered why they were so good.

I think they were loaded with MDA, not MDMA. Apparently MDA is much more hallucinogenic than MDMA and was a key reason why they were so powerful. Think they were cooked in Eastern Europe pre Berlin Wall.

They were * crazy though, I took them like sweeties for over a year. I was wandering about Ruchill cuddling utter strangers who probably wanted to rip my jaw but I was gone before they processed what was going on. :giggle1:
