    Just thinking.......

    • With the increase and demand with regard to Season Tickets next season / possibly becoming victims of our own success with domestic treble/invincible season and it being my first season ticket,
    • along with Liverpool fans complaining there isn't enough scousers at Anfield - ARE YOU CONCERNED ABOUT FANS FROM OUTSIDE GLASGOW locking out the locals as we become more successful?
    • Sometimes a match has been sold out at Celtic Park or near enough yet has had way more empty seats than that (thinking Partick game I went to before Xmas) and that can create a poor atmosphere which can effect the team (we where lucky to win 1-0) does this worry you?

The fans I've spoke to and gone on the ale with in Glasgow have always been welcoming and re-iterated as an Irish influenced, immigrant club we are a club for all who welcomes all. Your support and passion is more important than your national or local origins.Plus naturally in my case/some others being Irish/Scouse has its connections and sympathies from the fanbase for various socio-geographical-political reasons.

But obviously travel cost/work/uni permitting I won't be able to make it down to every game next season although I'm going to try and go the majority - does anyone feel like thats locking out the local fan base? Or is Celtic's unique identity as an immigrant club for Irish Communities and the Glaswegian poor make our following more welcoming and beyond the East End?

    Just a thought lads. :ynwacelti

I've always thought that our Irish fans who travel over week after week deserve our special respect, they are a fantastic element of our support.

I dont give any * where our season ticket holders come from, aslong as these "hello i am goalkeeper from place xyz wanna sign me" guys and spamming premier league fanbhoys keep away from social media sites related to Celtic.

Thats certainly how I see it. However, our East End contingent are very important as is developing young players and local, vocal,l oyal fans in the community.

Those guys that write "MANCHESTER CITY <33333"multiple times on one post or "CHELSEA DA BEST IN THE WORLD LIKE IF YOU AGREE", so you get 100 of these guys added to 100 normal comments. Our pages are free of such acts of stupidness.

Sometimes i say to myself, i wish my da had of supported a prem league team or didnt support any team at all. Reason being, the amount of traveling and money ive spent watching us would buy me another house :47: but then i realise, it aint about the money because what the Celtic give me, its worth every penny! As for the scottish people, anytime weve been over since i was 4 year old(1983), they have rolled out the red carpet for us. Always looked after and is greatly appreciated! :celt_2:

Im from Belfast but been living in the west of ireland for 15 years. * nightmare to get to glasgow at times. Few times during Lennys season when i didnt fly from either belfast or knock, i had to travel 4.5 hours from Castlebar to Belfast. * camel ride its like driving through country roads in sligo/leitrem. Waited about an hour for the boat then another few hours on it traveling on rough water. On a bus to Ayr then Train to Glasgow. By th etime you get to Glasgow, your *. Got up next day for Huns game, drank like a fish all day then all that journey back next day early * with a hangover. Takes a week to recover from it!!!! But after that week is over, its all worth it for the memories!!

I'm Australian, born in Australia and am the first Celtic supporter in my family. I fell in love with the club by chance when I was young. I saw highlights of a game and was blown away by the fans and the atmosphere. I looked up everything I could about the club and started watching games online when I could. I've gone to games in Australia when Celtic have played here and whenever I've visited the UK I've gone and watched games at Celtic park. If I ever move to the UK I would definitely go to as many games as possible, getting a season ticket if possible

I'm not what you would call a traditional fan but I've never felt unwelcome or out of place when I've visited Glasgow and gone to games. I would definitely be disappointed if people said to me that I'm not welcome or shouldn't attend games. All Celtic fans I've met in Glasgow and Australia have all been extremely welcoming and to me have been a perfect example of exactly why Celtic fans have the positive reputation they do

We have three Muslims in our squad actually, Kolo is a rolemodel in that case. A humble and honourable guy. If we would play in the engerlund prem things would look different. Right know people from overseas no matter where they from are mostly knowing what our club is about.

If these fanboys should come someday, I want comments like "Brendan Rodgers leader of the Ummah" or "Get it up ye hunfidels".

YEah have seen a few sleepers during the games, esp on day trips lol.

YEah its took him 5 hours if went the sligo road. Im that bit closer thou ive seen my 4.5hour journey take 6 hours if hit bad traffic in a few town.
    * nightmare of a journey! another away trip to porto for the CL game i did which is one i dont like to remember to often. Flew from belfast to liverpool, liverpool to madrid then 25 of us packed into the old easyjet mercs. They where like minis ffs and 25 grown men in 5 of them, like sardines in a tin! 10 hour drive to Porto, got lost which made it longer. Next day got fuking soaked before the game in Oporto then got beat 3-0!! Next day hungover same 25 men packed into the cars and rushed to get flights home. Missed flights and had to stay in airport untill next flight to london was available then had to stay there half a day before flight home to Belfast. The things we do to watch our team get humped in europe! lol

I never really can understand why some get so bent out of shape over non local fans. I do see it when it comes to being on the bandwagon and all but to totally dismiss us is just crazy. I feel it comes down to jealousy on finances above else. I might not get a chance to see Celtic in Europe much or at all in my life but don't hate me just because I pump in a * ton of money on merchandise and subscribe to Celtic TV as that is the best thing I can do being an ocean away. Like I said these people so concerned with non local fans are mostly jealous over finances.

I am just glad we don't have that superiority complex with the fans here at Celtic.

With out non local fans celtic fans we would be further down the pecking order of world football we need to get all the revenue we can get considering the size of our tv deal non local fans are just as important to the club

For people that live a distance from Glasgow and have a season ticket like myself, it's good to have friends and family to go to games you can't make. I don't care about money for that game just as long as the ticket is getting used.

And on the other point from the lads I know it's the ones that live in Glasgow that miss more games than the ones living further afield.

If the empty seats at midweek games starts to become a problem Celtic could easily start a 'sell your seat back' scheme where a season ticket holder can sell back their seat for a game they can't make for like 10 quid. If a games going to be a sellout this would stop the empty seats being a problem and also give more fans a chance to attend. The hearts game this season where we won 4-0 would've been a good game for this. With it being an early kickoff on a Sunday there was quite a lot of green seats despite it being a sellout.
