I'd agree with that.Even with TB's awful illness news there would be no need to bring Lenny back for the remaining games if it was just for the future. Now or in the summer wouldn't have mada a huge difference. It's an attempt to put some fire in the belly for the rest of the season because it's seen to be lacking. It's definitely a reaction to recent event events on the pitch. And rightly so btw but if some are saying that it's gonna take the return of Lenny to motivate these players, when there should be no need for motivation, from a set of highly paid professionals than it's an admission that the dressing room has been lacking mental strength and mebbe not listening to the voices that were already there, when in trouble call in the expert.

This is a sign that Strachan is packing his bags.

    Good to see Lenny back,

should instill some backbone into the team.

    Welcome home Lenny, Legend!

Don't know if we can read into it being a sign of strachan leaving as I doubt Lennon will take over as manager, hes not ready for that yet IMO. But, there are absolutley no negatives to this appointment at all. Rally Them Lenny, Lets keep our crown at paradise :D:D:D

    HAIL HAIL!

Cant see it. He aint got a chance of getting the managers job at the minute. Delighted to see a legend come home but ffs he aint got any managerial skills to take over next year. Groom him for a few years and we will see how that goes, He will deffiently bring some heart and fire to the team as we despartely need it

Always good to see a legend back around the place. Don't know about him installing fire in the team though - by all accounts off the park Lenny is an intelligent, thoughtful guy who is charming and doesn't lose the rag.

Personally i'm sick of fans seeing everything that the club does as a publicity stunt etc. The huns thought McCoist returning was one as well and it seems to work for them doesn't it?

I am delighted to see Lennon coming back. Over the past few weeks all I've been thinking is that if we had Lenny he'd be sorting out those people who aren't standing up to the task. He will be a great motivator and he still has lots of respect amongst players both senior and junior.

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Celtic | Lennon relishes new Celtic role

Celtic's new first-team coach Neil Lennon has distanced himself from suggestions he is a "talismanic" figure for the club's suppporters.

"I will let the players know that it will mean a * of a lot to a lot of people," said Lennon.

"This is a good club. I was away from it for a year and I will be telling the players that once you leave here everywhere else is downhill.

"You will not get a better opportunity in your whole career to make a real name for yourself and if you do well then you will be revered for the rest of your life."

    G'wan Lenny, hammer it home!!

Seems to be the sentiment of most players when they leave, most recently Maloney and Petrov, who I've heard are desperate to return.

Liam Miller made the biggest mistake he'll ever make when he left.

Colin Healy? is a waster for reasons I won't go into on a forum.

    Given had no choice.
