Im sure I read that he was contacted by Mark Zukerberg who invited him to Facebook HQ. Might have even offered him some sort of placement or scholarship.

...maybe it was his plan all along :)

Always wary of that statement mate but in this case I can't see much danger of it creeping into something that's worse than a wee stop and search in major public places.

    Definitely.

To be honest, I mean the entire UK is on terror alert of the highest level.

It's getting a few bags checked....

It's usually the using of laws passed for other, more nefarious, uses that worries me. I can't see much against this though.

Even though I do feel it's wrong on some level.... Weird one.

    Indeed.

May said the other day that she is "willing to rip up the Human Rights Act".

We all know that won't just stop at reducing the rights of terror suspects.....

It would be embarrassing If you had a bag full of * toys and the likes.

I see no problems with it tbh.

I think it's probably more to do with trying to make the public feel safer. People see bags getting searched etc. feel a wee bit better thinking the centres will be safer.

The actual searching of the bags is pointless though. As said earlier, nothing to stop someone from continuing on after the search and buying a knife from a store inside the centre.

Yer going on there as if a * with a knife can't be stopped.

Silverburn's in Glesga ffs, some mad brown dude whips oot a knife, there'll be some wee ned close by whipping oot a bigger lockback than his.

Almost like a scheme version a Crocodile Dundee.

Why not just have metal detectors and the entrance to the shopping centres?

Seems the norm in other countries tbh.

searching a bag isnt going to stop someone from getting shot or stabbed.
