Started a new Morrowind save again and decided to cheat the * out of this one.
And got Medal of Honor - Pacific Assault for free at the Origin site. Trying that now.

I quite liked it overall, but the 7/10 reviews are spot on. It's a flawed game, particularly in regards to it's open world and quest design, but I still enjoyed it.

To go a little bit more in depth:

    Story & Writing:

    • The main story, although not particularly special, still kept my attention.
    • The new species were fairly interesting.
    • Most of the squad mates were fairly likeable (there was only one that I thought was a bit *).
    • The antagonist was pretty unremarkable.
    • Main missions & proper side missions were decent for the most part.
    • Not enough choices had a noticeable impact, with the consequences obviously being saved for a potential sequel (which might not even happen at this point if the hiatus rumour turns out to be true).
    • Pretty much every filler mission at least has a little bit of story attached to it, but they're still a complete waste of time.
    • Even by Bioware's standards, the game can get a little cheesy at points.
    Gameplay & Exploration:

    • The actual gameplay is actually quite good.
    • The open worlds are fairly boring and poorly designed,
    • The way certain quest's are designed make things a bit tedious at times i.e. they make you hop around different planets to pad them out.
    • Multiplayer isn't as fun as it was in ME3, but it's still alright.
If you're not in any rush to play it, I'd recommend waiting a couple of months for a few more patches to iron out some of the bugs (and it'll probably be cheaper at that point as well).

Final Fantasy XV, finished it twice (once as new game+) and now going through the post game content like high level hunts and the secret dungeons. Really enjoying the game.

On a side note, does anyone use boomerang games? It's great 15 quid a month and can have as many games per month as you want. 3 max at a time

    Cheers mate.

I'll get it in a few months. I was buzzing for it but then the trailers and gameplay reveals toned my enthusiasm down. The cheesiness was what had me worried actually.

Mass Effect 2 is the only game in the series I've played all the way through. Loved it.

Went back and completed Mafia III.

Soundtrack to the game was great, and I liked the general setting/atmosphere of it. Story was interesting but the missions were pretty repetitive, as a lot of people have said.

Steal/kill/interrogate to draw lieutenants out, then kill them. Still decent and some of the missions were a lot of fun. Think the game had a lot of unfulfilled potential, though.

Playing (just started) the rpg Zenith. Some great humour (it's taking the * with a lot of rpg cliché's...although still use it themselves.), looks okay although the controls I can't really get used to till now and the story this far is probably too early to judge on. It's getting a lot of bad reviews, but it's not bad this far. (It's out on consoles too)

Oh and I tried a very bad game just for fun as I have a trial version of some game streaming subscription site.
    Firefighters 2014: The simulation game.

One youtuber summed up the ingame dialogue perfectly.
It's a lot of fun for 10 minutes.

Playing Zombie Chronicles last night on the map 'Kino Der Toten' and ended up in a public game with two random French guys. They knew a glitch which made the zombies completely avoid each player.

It's good if you want to get to a high round I suppose but shooting hundreds of oblivious zombies kind of gets boring after about two hours.

Played through Life is Strange this week after getting it free with Plus.

From the little I'd seen of it in the past, I wasn't really sure it was something that I was going to like, but I really enjoyed it overall. The story was fairly interesting (as well as being fairly dark and poignant at times), I liked most of characters (even most of the side characters are fairly fleshed out) and the game itself actually felt pretty substantial (especially when compared to other episodic games).

I can see why some people didn't like it, because it can get a bit teen drama-ish at points, but something about just clicked with me.

If you've got PS Plus, I'd definitely recommend giving it a go.

I started The Witcher 3 again yesterday. I've still never completed it, and I don't really like picking up saved games I'm half-way through.

At this point, I'm not sure I'll ever finish it.

My mate got me a mega drive with 25 games built in for my birthday, so played a few classics last night. Sonic,Mortal Kombat, Golden Axe to name a few.

I just re-bought the game but the GOTY edition with plans on jumping back into my previous save after a good number of hours. Turns out I'll have to start again though as the saves don't carry over.

Feeling like I'll never finish it, what makes it worse is that the souls series of games have ruined any other games combat systems for me.

Bought Homefront the Revolution for a £5, I can't begin to describe how bad this game is, I should have bought some bleach and drank it instead.
