    GMS has the heart of a mouse, so that disqualifies him for a start from any credible comparison.
    If Neil McCann says Hayes is a player, then that is good enough for me.

    Agree on that, but I feel on his day Forrest is better it's just Hayes is more consistent.

    Squad player it gets my blessing I was originally against it but Brendan Rodgers is only after achieving a treble and knows better than I do, but hope we can still bring in signings to really challenge Europe.

    GMS form tends to be patchy but at his best i don't think he's far behind Hayes. Hayes is very overrated IMO. I don't think it's an overreaction either, it's just a lot of tims don't rate Johnny Hayes.

    Hayes is a Tim himself. I've never met these lot of Tims who don't rate Hayes you speak about.But I have met a lot of Tims who don't rate GMS.

    Hayes' stats speak for themselves.

    I'm hardly shouting from the rooftops about this one myself but there is no denying who is the better player. Hayes is faster, better end product, better finisher, stronger, better work rate and most importantly, far more consistent.

    I don't think he is overrated, I think people are rightly looking at his contribution in this league over the years for two seperate sides, which has been very good, the season gone by especially.

    I haven't seen anyone making any ridiculous statements regarding him which you could point to and say 'you are overrating him'.

    If Brendan wants him, he will have a role in mind for the lad. He does have the work rate and a bit of bite that Brendan seems to like. So I for one am not in the know to go crying about the signing.
    1. Because I have not saw him in the hoops yet.
    2. I do not know Brendan's plans for the squad next season.

    That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. I will be magnanimous with you.
    McCann was an excellent left winger himself in his day, so I think he would be in a good position to assess Hayes's capabilities, don't you ?, leave allegiances aside for moment.

    Neil McCann talks down Celtic and their Achievements every week on sky so no a wouldn't trust his opinion! He's a Hun * and his input on a player shouldn't even be brought up in the Celtic chat.

    I'm not against the Jonny Hayes signing btw, I think he will be good for us.

    If it was Ronnie signing Hayes, I would be against it. But as loads of people have already said, Brendon has a plan. BR knows him very well and to be fair, Brendon has done not bad so far.......:36:
