    i dont really want him, he is 29/30. he is good player but he will come and sit on the bench most games. i assume he is GMS replacement but for me if both players are in form GMS is a better player

    I am thinking this is a good positive move. If we spend £1.2m on him we get a good squad player who will have to earn and play his way into the team. It's about keeping a momentum going after European nights. Also that money will help The Sheep rebuild to ensure they stay ahead of Sevco so win win

    Maybe....but I was thinking they could possibly get a couple of players in wiith that money as they have other players out of contract. That's why I said "help rebuild"

    The view that Hayes is coming here to be a squad player is understandable until you realize that BR isn't really a 'tinkerman' manager. Last season he rarely made many changes, preferring to stick with the best XI available. He was the same at Liverpool. With such a discrepancy between our own spending power and the top European leagues every pound counts and i just can't see the logic of forking out over a million for a guy who, if Mackay-Steven was on form, i would rank 4th in our list of wingers. Our squad is already fine for Scotland. We need high-quality and that ain't Johnny Hayes.

    have you not been watching Hayes/scottish football for the past few years? Hayes is the second best winger in Scotland after Sinclair, comfortably. Great crosser, goalscorer, pacey,big game player. Miles ahead of GMS and better than Forrest.
