Aye * it, if the medical team think they can sort him out then go for it. In terms of ability, he'd be the best defender in the league.

Rumors he's headed to Leicester on a 2-year deal. Be backup to Huth and Morgan, play Huddersfield, Brighton and Burnley vs. CL football with us. Tough choice. :39:

If he can get fit enough then yes, just use him sparingly and mainly for Europe.

That's not the reality of it though. It's possibly play Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal twice a season and get payed a bomb, vs maybe 6 CL games with us and the rest against Motherwell, HamIlton etc.

Of course we're a bigger and better club but Leicester is a bigger draw sadly

Great player but he is like a tampon in for a week then out for 3! Made of glass.

Depends on what the player and person is looking for. It's not as cut and dry as Leicester being the bigger draw end of story.

More money and playing better sides more regularly versus less fans and adulation and less opportunities for trophies and success.

In modern football the chances are they'd go to Leicester over us. It's not cut and dry but that's the more likely scenario.

Too many factors for that to be a statement of fact. For a guy nearer the end than the start of his career as well you can add in the issue of game time to winning things.

Of course, hence why I'm saying words like "chances are" and "probably", I know it's not a fact. But I was replying to someone putting the most negatives of spins on a player joining Leicester instead of us, I was just showing the other side of the story.

If he wants to take a retirement package from Leicester, then he's probably not the kind of footballer we'd want anyways. He needs game time to stay in the Uruguayan squad for 2018, and he's more likely to get it at Celtic than Leicester. Especially since he couldn't even crack Sotons lineup after VvD went down and Fonte was sold.

Actually if you read what I said I was pointing out Celtic have more than enough meaningful games in the season at no point did I bring up negatives of joining leicster

Really rate him as a player but no chance do I want him here on the type of money he would demand considering he has played only 1 club game in the last about 18months? He couldn't get games for Southampton who were down to bare bones at center half after virgil got injured and fonte left. He must either be not fit or not motivated.

Seen him play left back on Sunday for Uruguay in Dublin and cant say he stood out, although most of the team were poor and thats probably his 3rd choice position.

He'll also be playing against 17 other teams though? Like Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal etc? I don't get your point.:97:
