I think he'd be an improvement on GMS.

Had a bit of dig and a bit of drive so could be useful if called upon.

The problem is the price. Aberdeen will be wanting decent money for him unless we can offer them some kind of swap with GMS or even Christie on loan again.

Yeah that's how I'm feeling. Hayes isn't good enough to be a first choice winger for us, by a long shot.

But that pool of wingers would be good. And aye, he's far better than GMS.

They have a cheek talking about any of our player's when that wee * Logan is always noising ours up..

I'd give it up if I was Shay and co though. Pumped in all 6 outta 6 game's this year :56:

Hayes isn't daft. Even if it is made up *. He knows if he keeps playing out his skin that Brendan might take notice..

As Padmill said GMS is a man down :giggle1: That would be some pool of wingers to have going into next year, especially if we can keep Roberts. I like Christie too, but another year loan to Aberdeen could help them win second place again, and keep the middens down.

Spot on with the last part. Hayes will be itching for a move here.

Do folk honestly think we'd sign him to replace Roberts? We've got three wingers capable of playing for us in big games. And that's with Roberts on loan. We need two wingers in the summer, Roberts and Hayes would be class.

As a backup/squad player we could certainly do a lot worse.

To his credit, he's probably the only player in the country that consistently proves to be something of a threat against us. If there is genuine interest on our part, then he's being eyed up as a replacement for GMS (who I think is pretty much guaranteed to be gone this Summer) and as a backup to either Roberts or whoever we sign as his replacement.

Aye Sinclair, Roberts and Forrest. Even if we sign Roberts next season, all it takes is one injury and GMS is on the bench, and that's just *. Not many players will want to come to us to be a backup, but an Irish Celtic fan who's proven he can run games in Scotland? Sounds much better.

    He'll try.
Neil McCann was urging Rangers to sign Hayes.

He's a far better player than GMS. Can't recall GMS ever causing us many problems when he played against us.

Had this very discussion in the pub yesterday, my opinion is he's not good enough.

If what Rodgers is saying about a couple of quality additions is true Hayes isn't one of them.

I don't think it's a lot of * though, he clearly likes working with people he knows and trusts. He's worked with Hayes, he's a Tim, he's an out and out winger, he's pacy and he's a goal threat. He does have a lot of things going for him which Rodgers likes.

But still, isn't good enough to push us on.

    Don't be silly.
