I find American beers are poor compared to European.

Just purchased a few of Lidl's finest - Perlenbacher.

Far superior to any overpriced American pishwater out there...

I usually drink the big bottles of 1664 or Starpromein from Prague. Just a nice smooth blend that don't gas * outta me. But my brother in law always has packs from Lidl and haven't tasted a bad one when offered.

That's what I need, a lager that isn't too gassy.

Try 1664. It's nice but strong. Actually smells identical to weed. I kid you not.

Make sure you buy that bottle I posted. You usually find them still in the plastic wrapping of the case.

They sell one that's slightly smaller, for some reason it doesn't taste the same.

Once you get them, stick them in the freezer for half an hour before you crack the first one open.

    Delightful!

Oh aye, forgot to mention, less than £1 a bottle.

    You buy them individually.

It's the only way I drink my alcohol when at home.

My usual tipple of choice is bottles of Asahi.

Another surprisingly beautiful beer. Many a times i have went to the supermarket to buy a random selection of the big bottles, asahi is always the first picked up. Tsing tao is nice as well.

Asahi is * beautiful - would go as far as to say it's the best beer I've tasted.

Cobra and Tiger are pretty decent now.

I wouldn't touch a bottle of Bud or Miller if it was the last bottle in front of me (well, that's a lie, but you ken ma meaning!) and that is what I used to drink all the time.

Not a fan of any of these IPA *.
