  1. Could pick up a few players who you can develop and do what you's do best really.

    The thing is we spend the money but it does nothing. Look at Swansea, Hull, Burnley, Bournemouth. Stoke. In reality Sunderland should have a better squad, but we don't. There's nothing to show for it.

    We play in the under 23s European premier final on Wednesday against Porto, there's a few decent lads who would do a job for
    us. Obviously our system stinks of martin bain lol

  4. Moyes uses him mostly on the wing. But he can play any of the 3 attacking roles, just bit giving a chance by him.

    Infact Moyes does a lot of things that would baffle you.

  5. According to Wikipedia it is actually a reference to miners' lamps rather than copied from Benfica. I don't get the hostility towards them in this thread TBH. So what if their forum's full of idiots? I'd hate for anyone to judge Celtic fans by some of the posts on here!

    Having said that, in your particular case, I do know you travel to a lot of games, so are you basing your opinion on things you've seen, mate?

Think you can thank Thatcher et al for that TBH, if you're a football player with options to go elsewhere, Sunderland (as it is now) is going to be way, way down your list, no matter how much money you throw at them (conversely London clubs get more value for their money because of, well, London). Even with somewhere like Manchester (which is a smashing little city), I remember Tevez * about the place, so * help you trying to sell Sunderland. Having said that, you managed to sell it to Juninho and Ravanelli in the 90's, so who knows...

    Luckily it looks like Tory governments for the foreseeable future, I'm sure they'll soon get Sunderland's economy and community back on its feet. :87:

    Like continue to get high-level jobs in spite of failing everywhere since Everton. I think this latest failure may be the end for him down there, he'll end up back in Scotland sooner rather than later IMO.
