Aah well, that's that well and truly blown out the water. :54:

Slaven Bilic it is then. I've always wanted a rockstar in charge of Celtic anyways. :icon_mrgreen:

I think that all the candidates stated on this tread have pros and cons,

ters the big european candidate such as hiddink , bilic
if we went for this type of manager the pros would be

1, give the whole club a massive lift
2, give the profile of the club a boost around europe
3, would have great contacts and might be able to attract better players to the club
4, would have experience of managing a club as big as celtic and havin the bottle for the pressure that comes with the job
5, scare the * outa the huns

the negatives for goin for the european candidate would be

1, not havin any knowledge of how scotish game is played due to its lack of coverage
2, not known the types of players to sign that would suit the scottsh league
3, less money to invest in the team as we'll more than likely hav to splash out to get this type of manager
    4 possible language barrier
5, would probaly leave as soon as they got a better offer from another league

then ters the celtic minded option
1 understands the fans and wat we expect pride, passion
2 understands the scottish game and would hopefully know the types of players to sign that would be able to handle the scottish game
3, mowbary or collins would hopefully be able to get the best out of brown
4 would already know the problems at the club e.g. style of play, no leader, caldwell, donati, naylor
5 would be the cheaper option and hopefully would have more money to spend on players

    the negatives
    1 have no european experience
2 wouldnt have the pullin power or contacts for european players
3 none have the experience of managing a club half the size of celtic

i dont know wat type id go for but i think moyes has a mixture of both.
everton aren't goin to get fourth.
next year man city, aston villa, tottenham r goin to really splash the cash which everton dont have.
moyes will know this and maybe thinkin that this was his year to get into the cl.
he has takin everton as far as they can go and i think he might know this
unless he gets the money to match other clubs around him
and if lawell comes knockin i think he would seriously consider comin to celtic park

You get the feeling McGhee may ne more of an inspirational manager type maybe a bit like Burns while Levein would be more of a clever tactical sort of manager. Get the feeling the football would be more freeform and attractive under McGhee but we would win more under Levein. Levein has an aura of respect and intelligence about him but you also get the feeling if you cross him he would tear your head off and * down your neck.

I'd rather Mowbray than McGhee or Levein tbh.

Mowbray would jump at the chance to boss Celtic - its the reason he got into management.

definetly ive heard tales of levein takin a fair amount of players down a peg but he is a smart man and knows his numbers and would do us well in the long run

He is a no nonsence boss - booted out Grant Brebner within days because he was a bad infuence on the younger players (gambling debts of over 50K I heard)

I think he would do well (not sure if he likes Burns though)

Mowbray can take the credit for the spirit which was apparent in the Hibs team of a couple of seasons ago. He had them playing great football, some media said the best in the league, and he man managed brilliantly.
