I don't think he's a great passer in all honesty. His delivery is great but his general passing could use some work. Gamboa is a better passer possibly. I mean don't get me wrong I think KT is fantastic, just know he isn't the finished article although noone is at that age

Celtic defender Kieran Tierney won the PFA's young player of the year award for the second season running, despite missing two months of first-team action with respective shoulder and ankle ligament problems.

The 19-year-old left-back admits he did not expect to beat team-mates Moussa Dembele and Patrick Roberts, and Hibernian striker Jason Cummings to the trophy.

"I'm surprised (to win) because the competition was brilliant this season - Moussa, Patrick and Jason have been great," Tierney said. "I thought my chances would have been lower because I was out for a few months, had a couple of operations, but I'm just grateful to the people who voted for me.

"Maybe (the way I came back from injury) is a factor. I worked hard in my few months out to come back just as I left off."

Tierney, who in just his third Scotland cap switched flanks to the right side of defence in the crucial win over Slovenia, believes he is a more technically proficient player 12 months on from winning the award for the first time.

And while his burgeoning talents may attract summer suitors, he insists ignoring any speculation over his future is easy.

"I'm a lot more experienced now; I've played over double the games I had last season," Tierney added. "I have a Champions League campaign and I've played in a few different positions.

"You see stuff in the papers and on Twitter, people telling you, but I just need to concentrate on what I'm doing - training and playing well for Celtic. It's easy for me (to ignore) because I'm happy where I am."

I think his passing is underrated, he's got excellent weight of pass especially long distance like ones up the wing or over the top for players to run on to, it's one of the best parts of his game.

That last huns game at Ibrox, there was a part in the first half he had the ball wide and was being shut down and I mind he ran inside across like 3 hun players into the middle of the park then delivered and deightful wee floated pass over their midfield out to the wing with his right foot to McGregor running through I think you could actually hear hun fans appreciating it, was audible from their fans that they all acknowledged it.

 

He was really poor. His final ball was up there with the worst I've seen from him.

 

I would give Izzy a run out in one of the next two games just to make sure he is fresh for the final.

 

Not his best game both he and Sinclair misfired tonight, glad it was tonight and not the final.

 

This poor bhoy got a fair whack on the side of the head tonight and had a great big lump to show for it. More often than not he picks himself up and dusts himself down no matter how hard the tackle but he wasn't the same after that whack
