I'd say probably yes. Wouldn't say it means people from other faiths can't support Celtic because that'd be ridiculous though.

Weren't you the one who originally "jumped in" calling people deluded and referring to them as being equal to huns? Ahh, not in the slightest bit antagonistic :56::56::56::50:

Right, I put the telly on mute and read what you've posted - I can only assume you are an offended Protestant, or something to that effect.

    Makes sense...

I know a fair few Proddies who support Celtic, couldn't give a * what their beliefs are - massive Tims.

Also know two Catholics who support Deadco. They keep that to themselves though mostly...

Quite possibly mate, Glasgow is a different kettle of fish now.

Used to be you could meet someone called, say "Patrick O'Riley" and automatically assume he was a Tim. Nope - hun.

Not a Catholic, never have even considered being Catholic. But feel completely at home with Celtic.

From the group of 6 I go to games with regularly only myself and one other are Catholic.

1/ I posted that hours ago. (as you will be aware of, although I stand by it) 2/ If anyone feels the need to tie religion to our club to identify it with, what's the difference ?
We are not a Catholic club, its as simple as that. Sure back in the day we might have been 'seen' as that but even then I have a feeling our founder would have been uneasy about describing our Club as Catholic, for obvious reasons. Nowadays, no chance are we a Catholic Club and anyone who feels the need to identify us as such is doing a disservice to the large percentage of people, be they managers, players or supporters who have worked, supported or represented our club who are/were not Catholic imo.
This all seems very straight forward to me but as I have kept saying - a persons religion has absolutely * all interest to me- so maybe that is were I am going 'wrong' - if it is then I'm still not bothered tbh though.

    1. Yeah I'm aware of that and it was your first post in the thread hence the "jumping in feet first" comment.

    2. It's not any "need" to identify us as anything.

3 I agree your view is a very "simple" one.

My Mum is a protestant. I was officially a Catholic but ended up going to CoS churches far more often, due to my Mum being a practicing Christian and my Dad not being a practicing Christian.

In any case, there will be an insane amount of Catholics who've supported Celtic over the years who will be headed straight for *, myself included.

Probably broken about every Commandment under the sun:

    1. I am the Lord your *: You shall not have strange Gods before me (Sorry boss, but Larsson took your place)
    2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your * in vain (Sorry boss, said "for *'s sake almost every time Samaras fell over his own feet)
    3. Remember to keep holy the Lord’s Day (sorry boss, it was a toss up between Chapel and a 12 o'clock kick off against the Huns.......)
    4. Honor your father and mother (erm, fair enough)
    5. You shall not kill (* that, loved it when Jozo killed miller at the weekend there!)
    6. You shall not commit adultery (no probs boss!)
    7. You shall not steal (sorry boss, ended up getting an extra pie once for free.....my bad!)
    8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor (* knows?)
    9. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife (some bang tidy burds there with their men.....perv glasses on!)
    10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods (does this mean I couldn't look at a player in another team without wanting them here? *, sorry boss!)
