As I said in my post, that you quoted, - "A cup final is held at a neutral venue because neither team are supposed to have an advantage."
We know that this is how a cup final is allocated every year, so this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone by now. Its not a perfect system however its the only workable system and one that everyone is aware of.

It's a pity that we won't have Roberts for the final.

Naw, where do the extra tickets go that are above Aberdeens average attendance.

The tickets are split between both clubs, after corporate etc. So until one of the clubs returns tickets there are no spare/extra tickets.
Average attendances has never been used, so that's a pointless argument. If it is they would need to work out the cup games percentages of crowd, for their home games, and given we played ICT and St Mirren in a more than half empty stadium ... So lets hope they don't go down that road, or we might actually get less than 50% :giggle1:

There was still more at both home cup ties than we will get in tickets, so you are basically saying attendances don't matter and aslong as some * that never goes gets their big day out it's fine, they should get 15 thousand with the other 5 thousand going to us that would be more than fair given that they returned 2 thousand last time.

This will be the most highly anticipated Celtic game probably since Seville, mad we'll only get about 20,000 tickets some amount of * will be skipping in and allsorts. Wouldnt suprise me if about 55,000 end up in the stadium lol

Aye but, as said, they don't use that system although if that/similar system was used to work out a percentage we could be looking at less than 50% but that's all irrelevant. If anyone wants to take it up with Celtic/SFA am sure they can.
You are correct attendances don't matter, as its a cup final and the whole point of playing at a neutral ground and trying to have an equal split in the gate is so that no team has an advantage.
Lets be honest as well - there will be * at the game who don't usually go full stop, its not restricted to one side only.

Aye there will be * on our side that don't usually go but not to the same extent as Aberdeen, and as I said we had more fans than we will get tickets at both home games so I don't know where your getting our attendances would affect us if that system was in use.

Just the way it is though, Aberdeen will sell out their allocation probably easily. Celtic could sell 100,000 tickets for it so no stadium would be big enough.

I get that mate as Ive said, I just think it's an unfair system given that some teams are lucky to get more than 10 thousand at home games, surely it should be looked at aswell as the corporate * with all the hangers on.

Nae Dembele then. Hopefully he'll be the only player injured by the time this comes around. Rogic will be back up to speed as well.

Good for Griffiths as he's not got to start any bigger games this season, * for Dembele though who could maybe have added a few more £million to his value by scoring a few goals in it.

Although quite dodgy now with Griffiths the only fit striker, especially considering he's been injured a lot this season mostly when Dembele has also been injured. Would be * to go into the final without a striker.

No not confirmed all depends on if the English FA insist he be released or we can agree some compromise where he joins them after the final.

He'll be fine I think, they'll never deprive a player of playing in a Cup final for a * youth tournament.
