Beautiful Sunday - the IRA version
I'm from Derry and I go to Moville quite regularly, it's actually quite common. Lot of Derry wans have 'holiday' homes in that direction.

If you're driving into Moville from Derry and you continue on past Moville going straight you'll come into Shroove. It's a lovely place. Probably one of the most serene spots in Ireland. This picture doesn't do it justice.

Glenveigh national park is an OK day out.

If your kids are young then they will love Bundoran, great beach, funfair, go karts, swimming pool with flume, and plenty of pubs.

Mary frae Dungloe festival might be worth a visit also if your there on the last week of July.

Head up to Belfast for the glorious 12th. Can't believe this hasn't been suggested.

No seriously, as someone said great beaches and always a surf school handy. Price them out and it will be great craic for you and the kids. Usually loads of kids at it so get early.
Btw you don't need to be able to surf. As for pubs, Ffs alky paradise.

magic place.....being over 4 times as i got free travel with the work at that time!! We were based in a wee place called Ballybofey in the middle which was handy for everywhere. We got real lucky with the weather every time i think from memory...it's like the north of Scotland for a holiday......weather can make or break it, especially with kids!!

    For things to do try-

Slieve League Cliffs.....i shat it and coudn't drive up the car park up top!! hate heights:54:

We liked Donegal Town and Buncrana is a cracking wee place on a nice day!!

There is also a farm that caters for kids just over the border and my wee one loved that day out..can't remember the name of it the now.

We had the motor and just headed out most days exploring....beautiful place!!!

If you are driving go from Donegal town right down to Sligo and Galway. It's a straight road and views and scenery that is amazing.

I was punched by a Hun on the boat after a match at Ibrox. I was about 10 and he was in his 30s, * knocked me out. I just remember coming round and some Hun was carrying me to my da.

Is this the known fishing hot-spot or the brick? :56:

Me and a few mates once tried to go to Ardara a few years ago, say 3 years ago. Used a SatNav and we rocked up to Ardara and we found a brick, no joke, a bastarding brick on the side of the road saying "Ardara." We asked one decrepit looking local who had probably been blown out of shape by the wind if we were in Ardara and he said "you're a long way from there."

We found it on the next attempt, not far from Dungloe etc. To this day I can't work out how we ended up there. :56:

Can I add, I near caught a fly with my rod, didn't even get a nibble. Not a hoorin fish in the water, better luck looking for a garda up that direction n they're also hard to come by * sake.

Knowing your luck, it's the kids that will start singing the rebel songs.
