In all fairness they were pretty awful. I can't even count how many times they accidentally kicked the ball out of play like a 5 year old first learning how to play the sport.

Stephen Thompson and Michael Steward both said Hallidays tackle was a red, Beerman borderline red but should have seen yellow for second offence so quickly after.

 

Anyone got the post match analysis to hear what those 2 * at sky had to say, not a mention of the 2 red cards at half-time??

too easy, just a class above, ill take that all day long.

 

Is there such a thing as too easy? That 1-1 draw was definitely the boot up the hole we needed.

 

that 1-1 draw game was like some of our players just couldnt be bothered playing well not bothered but not giving it there all and that's what you need to do against these scumbags

I thought we were superior in every department and could have scored 2 or 3 more. Before the game I was worried about the officials, but overall they did okay and didn't cost us with an honest mistake (got the penalty calls correct, and at least handed out cards to Huns).

The decision to only book Halliday was understandable; once the ref played advantage (and we were in a great position with McGregor bearing down on goal) he was unable to give the red that the challenge deserved. As an Evertonian, I still moan about 1985 FA Cup Final where the ref stopped play to dish out a red card, when if he'd played advantage Everton would have had 2 players through against just a goalie (I'd rather be 1-0 up against 11 men, than 0-0 against 10 men); so I can't moan about the ref's decision yesterday to play on.

The Beerman challenge was probably a 2nd yellow in the modern game, but as an old bloke, I generally don't like cards for such a soft foul.

 

Anybody know if this game is on kodi, canny find it at all??

Good win, although expected , or as near expected as you'll get. Only bad news is Dembele's injury. They should have had 2 reds - obviously a straight red for that wee * at the start and beerman should have walked as well.
Only thing I will moan about, from us, is when Dembele went off the wait to get Griff on was about the only period in the game they had some control for, was those 6 mins or so. We had chances to just knock the ball out and we should have done that, no doubt this will have been picked up on and it wont happen in future. The only thing is it shows them that IF we are down to 10 men they have a chance, I would be prepared for a Celtic red card next week ...
