Brown often says he's the best player he's been up against...

But as @Crow says, they're best mates.

I know they're best mates and everything, but I still can't understand that.

He would never have been the toughest opponent/best at any point domestically, never mind the amount of top players Brown would have faced in European and International fixtures.

Thought he was class tbh, having to do the work of two when Bitton is in the team always takes its toll but

I thought he played well also. Some sloppy passing however the pitch was awful and didn't help that. He certainly wasn't second to any balls like a lot of them.

Solid in the middle, mopped up for fun but his passing was awful the day in the 2nd half in a spell he gave away about 5 shockers in 5 minutes, one he took a quick freekick and just put the ball into the stand when we were in no rush to attack and there was nocunt even where he tried to pass it.

Our whole performance lacked composure tho.

Must be honest i never thought we would be capable of such a poor performance, i know we're miles ahead in the League, but expected a lot better.

If that's our 1 bad performance against the Huns I will take it tbh get it out of the system and take it out on them at Hampden

Him and Armstrong were in control in midfield without being amazing. Then Brendan obviously thought Griff would grab the game by the scruff. Not an ideal day but we will move forward and toast these hallions in the semi. * dem.

Yeah very much, Brendan has set such high standards, i think we'll see a very different performance in the cup semi.

i actually thought he was less effective because of that clown bitton in there. most of the time brown is poor, bitton is never a million miles away. don't think it's a coincidence he got better, for me anyway, and the team had more of it in the 2nd.

His own performance today was pretty decent but, as captain, I'd like to see him giving some of the poorer performers like Sinclair a good rollicking.
    Gee them up a bit.

He's always seems to lead by example rather than giving players a rollicking during games as far as I've seen.

I thought he was very good again especially in the first half today. Team mates really should get inspired by his energy and determination.
