Exactly. If Vince thinks that Roman going over on Taker and then Taker acknowledging etc etc at WM is finally going to get him over once and for all, think he is in for a very rude awakening. Big mistake. The only potential way would be for Roman to finally be turned heel at WM but it hasn't happened before now, so the chances of that are pretty remote. But the reaction to the Strowman/Taker staredown had so much potential. This RR v Taker yo could hear the crowd 100% behind Taker, and the hate for RR amped up as he was being chokeslammed. Zero empathy.

Also, have heard tell that Goldberg looked like he was a sweaty mess even before Lesner's F5, and that he was not just struggling but looked a mess after that. Considering that is pretty much the first bump he has taken in 15yrs or something, doesn't bode well for WM.

 

Tonight's WWE SmackDown and 205 Live will take place from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Tonight's SmackDown will feature AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton with the winner facing WWE Champion Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 33. SmackDown will also see John Cena and Nikki Bella team for the first time to take on Carmella and James Ellsworth.
205 Live will see Austin Aries interview himself as he has a special message for WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville.


WWE is focusing on the following points for tonight's SmackDown:
* Randy Orton to battle AJ Styles tonight to determine Bray Wyatt’s No. 1 contender at WrestleMania
* John Cena & Nikki Bella set to team up for first time against Carmella & James Ellsworth
* Who will challenge Dean Ambrose, Alexa Bliss and American Alpha at WrestleMania?
* Who will throw their hat in the ring for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal?

 

The A show about to be another great episode, hope Orton v AJ is given time it will be brilliant

 

Raw was superb last night, no way Smackdown tops it tonight (not that they do too often anyways despite what the smarks say).

 

Monday's WWE RAW, featuring the fallout from WWE Fastlane with new WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldbergand more, drew 3.216 million viewers. This is up 4% from last week's 3.093 million viewers.
For this week's show, the first hour drew 3.318 million viewers, the second hour drew 3.380 million viewers and the final hour drew 2.950 million viewers.

 

RAW Was pretty * imo Jericho returning was the only highlight

 

Pfffttt, Undertaker staredown with Braun and his altercation with Roman was enough to make a great show on its own. There was also other good stuff about it, especially in terms of really building towards mania.

 

Should be a pretty good SD.

 

Cena/Nikki V James/Carmella.

 

Cena/Nikki V Miz/Maryse at WM could be a good match.

 

Pretty good SD.

- As noted, rumored WrestleMania 33 opponents Baron Corbin and WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose furthered their feud on this week's SmackDown as Corbin sneak attacked Ambrose backstage, punishing him with a pipe and a forklift. WWE noted on TV that Ambrose was taken to a local medical facility after suffering from bruised ribs and more. WWE posted this storyline update on Ambrose after the show, noting that he jumped out of the ambulance en route to the hospital and that he may have been coughing up blood.


INDIANAPOLIS – Following an attack by Baron Corbin during tonight's SmackDown LIVE, Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose was taken to a local medical facility with bruised and potentially broken ribs.

UPDATE (10:15 p.m. ET): While en route to the medical facility, Ambrose reportedly jumped out of the vehicle and started heading back to the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on foot. Stay with WWE.com for more on this developing story.

In a brutal backstage assault, Corbin attacked the champion with a steel pipe and crushed him under a forklift. Ambrose reportedly had difficulty breathing, and rumors indicate that he was coughing up blood.
