When was the last time this guy had a good performance????? As far as I'm concerned he's the "darling of the fans", untouchable. For weeks now he's been getting away with * displays where others are having a go at Brown, Naka, Caldwell, McManus, Donati, and Naylor not to mention young Sno. Just thought I'd get this off my chest cause it's doin' ma heed in seeing him lose the ball all the time and witnessing bad cross after bad cross with the fans saying "unlucky Aiden".

I really miss Maloney's goal threat.

Too right mate, was thinking the same myself. Has been mince since the 1st half of the Barca game (At CP). McDonald seems to have lost his way a bit recently aswell.....

I think oppositions are wising up about how to play against him.....double up and he goes nowhere.

Also think players give him the ball and watch and wait for something to happen instead overlapping etc.

But in general his crossing is poor, shots are pish when he cuts inside. Dont know if he does or not, but he should be staying behind at training every day for hours and work on crossing, shooting etc. The final ball is always been whats let him down.

Cheers guys. Thought it was just me!! TBH when on his game he's a delight to watch but he's not an automatic choice for me. If the money was right for him (which I don't see any bids coming in) I'd take it and bring Maloney back or give Riordon a chance. He almost scored from the same position as McGeady tonight within the 5 mins he was on.

id take the money and also bring maloney back... dont think riordan would be as effective as aiden on the flank but.

yeah i agree mate. if we got offered decent money id take it, we would be crazy not to take good money for a guy who plays 1 good game every 5.

still not as good a player as Maloney imo

  8. never really thought about it but yeah your right there

He's the best there is at the moment IMO but you're right, we should have better options. Thompson was great on the left and Naylor is putting good crosses in now so I think you could afford to have DR playing there being more direct. Lets face it, he's always gonna score more than McGeady.

the only reason that happens is that he basically carries the whole team, have you never noticed that, i tell you what have a good look next game its always mcgeady that gets the ball and lets be honest by now all other teams expect that as he is our best player maybe if he had a bit of support or versatility it would be different but that will never happen with strachan i dont know lets play down the right side for a change will it ever happen i doubt it coz naka aint up to the task

I would play him in the next game against GRETNA where he'll be ace. I didn't see him carry the team tonight for eg. where all the threat for me came through Naka which it normally does.

    no it didnae

  13. got to disagree
mcgeady is the only shining light, he ends up keeping it too long as others dont make much movement for him, if there are 2 on him each time then surely this has created space for others.
how anyone can critisise mcgeady when naka is continually poor is beyond me

here we go again lets bash mcgeady hes been poor in the last couple of games therefor hes *,its no coincodence hes been poor for a couple of games and we've been pish.

naylor overlap the wee man and take the double marker away from him and then you'll see how effective he is.

i've said it before and i'll say it again,,teams know exactly how to play against us and until wgs realises this we will run the risk of results simillar to tonight.

pass marks for naka ,hinkel, jvoh and even caldwell as for the rest it just isnt good enough,if you have any balls you will fight for the title HAIL HAIL....

get off the mans back ffs. weve gone from -you'll never take him hes ours- to - take him who cares hes * in about two or three games. his form has dipped along with the whole team which shows he wasnt a one man show. have a little faith in him and the whole team as a matter of fact.

whatever mate, McGeady has been great all season putting in plenty on crosses onto the heads of people, maybe not in the last three or so games, but prior to that he's been fantastic.

and as for staying behind in training, i think the improvements in his game he has made this year have shown he's putting the hours in on the training field, AND strachan has already commented that he's always in the gym

You're far too harsh in your criticism here mate, i think you need to lighten up a bit

He doesn't look up when he's on the ball and just guesses where to cross it. As for Naka, you must have missed the first half last night.
