I always defended him for what he did here but he's taken the fan's for mug's as far as the national side goes. Said he doesn't need to answer certain thing's and has shown us a real lack of respect..

I've been done with him and listening to his * for quite a while..

He has given 100% for both. As I'd expect from everyone.

I don't know what you mean by "clearly affects him" though. Last year it was injuries that * him.

He'll stop playing for country if it affects his Celtic performance, I don't see the problem. I actually admire his passion for our country to be honest.

He said before that doing both wasn't for him anymore, and so did Brendan... Which makes me think Strachan has begged him back for a favour..

Injuries more than performance. No busy wondering how good an 8 you've been if you pull a hamstring away in Georgia or something..

Even as a Scotland fan. I cannot see the point..

He done that here too mate. I don't like his team selections and he's a stubborn wee * but he's always been like that.

If Strachan doesn't call up Armstrong for these next games I am finished with him

He felt like that after his form last year. He's had a new lease of life this season and feels he's up to the job. I don't blame him. Obviously, I'd rather he didn't, for Celtic. I think it's something he needs to do for himself though.

He obviously feels fit enough and if it can do his pal a favour at the same time then I can't argue with his decision.

I also can tell that we are his priority and he will not jeopardise us for our country. If he is slacking, due to this decision, he'll quickly change the decision.

Like yourself, I hope it's not after an injury. As I said though, he's looking in better shape and fitter than I can remember, so I can only see this happening through a bad challenge or something along they lines. Nothing to do with fitness.

True but he's ramped it up in this campaign, under criticism..

You could be right, but I highly doubt this won't fall back in to his club football at this stage of his career..

You could be right too mate. Hope not.

He is only 31 and does look in fantastic shape...

I do know that being selfish, this is bad for us.

Fair enough mate, I've liked him better suncd he left us. He's always had that attitude he's got nobody to answer to. Mind Gary Caldwell's interview saying the gaffer told them the same thing?

I just think and I haven't checked the fixture, but.....we'll go off to somewhere like Lithuania, knowing we're well out the group and for me, it just doesn't add up..

He's in great form, and no doubt missing these kinda trip's are helping. He's captained the side and been involved in some massive game's. There's nothing left for Broony in this national setup, that he hasn't seen before..

He's obviously passionate about playing for his country, i very much doubt he'd declare himself available for Scotland if he felt he couldn't handle it. Brendan possibly had an influence on his decision also.

I don't have a problem with his decision, it's a short career and he's making the most of it, good luck to him.

So have I, always talking us up and saying he's a fan..

He's been very disrespectful over the last 6 month's/year..

I've been wanting him sacked for it, probably even more than the actual results and player selections..

Would rather he had just stuck with his original decision..

    Up to him though.

I've not taken much notice of it but I've been saying he's reminded me the way he was his last season with us - awkward * mode.

Him and Broony have a lot of respect for each other though. Reading the foreward in Broony's book from Strachan shows how close a player and manager can be, as much as this decision annoys me, I need to respect loyalty as a major part of Broony's character and therfore as a player.

You're right but just because there's nothing left, doesn't make you want to just chuck it. If we couldn't win the league, would you stop supporting? Would you expect the players to stop playing?

BRENDAN RODGERS, the Celtic manager, has strongly hinted that Scott Brown will quit international football again next month. The 31 year-old came out of retirement last November to feature in Scotland’s 3-0 loss to England and has made himself available for the World Cup qualifier against Slovenia on March 26. Rodgers, though, suggested his captain may call it a day again thereafter, ruling himself out of the return match against England at Hampden on June 10.

"We've had a number of conversations about it and I think Scott is clear in his mind what he wants to do,” said Rodgers. “He knows my view on [the England game in June] and in terms of the longer term for him.

“He's pivotal to what we are doing here. He’s answering a duty to his country and I can see why any manager would want him. But I think after this game he will probably look at it and see where it's at for a more definite period.”

Strachan will be better off integrating a player like Armstrong into the side than using brown who has no real future with the team
