Development of hotel next to Celtic Park

in theory, yes.
but, the average price of a 4 star hotel would be about £100 per night and even though you could possibly half fill it on match days, you'd need to fill the hotel every other day to turn a profit, and considering the distance from the city centre it would seem any business people (who you'd hope to be your primary customers) would turn to the abundant hotels in the city.

 

From scratch? No Chance. I would like to see something done about the restricted views, and an aspiration of mine has always been to complete the bowl all the way around by upgrading the south stand. Lot of people seem to think it's listed but I am led to believe this is not the case.

I went to the Dortmund V Sporting game earlier this season and noticed thier big club shop outside the stadium had upstairs in it where they had a big balcony with tables and chairs and there was people out sitting there having a drink before the game. Would be good if we done the same, in the pictures those platform things on the roof could have tables and chairs out where even if you canny sell drink people could sit with teas or coffees and snacks before games. Get people turning up earlier and hanging around doing museum tours and eating and drinking in the area before and after games.



Need cafes and stuff in the area of the stadium.

in the original plans,didnt fergus mcann say celtic park is made so that in the future if need be we can upgrade the main stand to 70,000 ?

could be talking out my *.

 

From what I understand there just want the budget at the time to do a total rebuild. It's not a listed building either and isnt structurally atttached to the other stands so it could be torn down for a rebuild.

 

Would away team not pay to stay the next before a game?Tbh if their wasn't money to be made we wouldn't be building it.

 

Thought it was listed, as mentioned above.... But that might no be the main stand side to be fair, but something to do with the graveyard?

I actually like the ground capacity as it is. We don't need a bigger capacity, and something old school about the main stand and being able to look beyond over it as well at any scheme tower blocks when the game's pish

Was worried at points that this bwas shelved. Glad to see some other artists impressions as well.

If done right, it will be amazing. Make it 4 stars, 2 bars, one to the public and a more private lounge area for guests if they need it.
Add in a decent bar/bistro that will be rightly abused (in a good way) before a game. Integrate a museum and shop - barcelona do it well for a megastore at the end of the tour. Tie all that in together and sell the whole package. Anyone visiting Glasgow for a holiday who is remotely football minded will take a look at staying here.

I would honestly book in to it every so often, even when living in glasgow. Book a package ticket/stay for a game and make a time of it with mates or a girlfriend.

Give me the boak every time a walk up to the stadium

 

Clean up the windows at the back of the stadium and stick green lights in instead of those horrible orange lights on the roof.
