Which is weird, considering Strachan's perma-* for Nakamura.

Strachan seems to have lost all sense, he watched the Euros and now thinks that ever single international footballer must be built like Paul Pogba or Ronaldo.
I am not suggesting Callum should be a regular but he is certainly a better player than some of those he has capped in his time.

Who he played out wide, when he was very much suited for a role in the middle of the pitch.

Always wanted us to try something like:

    Brown Robson

    Naka

    McGeady JVoH Samaras
WGS wasn't the most adventerous though.

The one and only time I remember Strachan being a bit more adventurous in Europe was against Villarreal at home. Played McGeady, Nakamura and Maloney in the same side.

    Brown Hartley

    McGeady Nakamura Maloney

    Samaras

And the Old Firm cup final when he played McGeady through the middle as well.

It's a shame he so rarely let his creative players properly off the leash.

McGregor would walk into any other side in Scotland as well.

Twice the player of Holt or Halladay and he is only seen as a very good squad option here. As much as he has annoyed me and twisted my opinion I don't mind having him here at all.

He's a handy player, a bit of a utility man in midfield and might never be a regular starter but can do a good job across 4/5 positions. Pops up with important goals too which is always a plus.

Just a comparison to two Scottish Centre mids though who are supposedly 'similar' in stature and style.

Compare him when anyone else in the league and you'd take him, thats what I'm saying.

What about similar players playing in England, like Bannan and Dorrans, he's no worse than them.

Where was he the last fifteen minutes? Always looks great in patches and the drifts completely out of it.

Thought he was our best player in the second half by a country mile.
