No mention of Griffiths when talking about players coming back from injury. Still not convinced they haven't had a bit of a fall out.

One thing I've noticed more and more is how laid back and comfortable Rodgers is looking during these press conferences, he's clearly loving life at the minute.

Hoops No 2 Chris Davies promised fans that Rodgers will remain at Parkhead for the long haul.

Rodgers’ historic achievements in his first six months in Glasgow have sparked speculation he could be lured away.

He has already won the League Cup, guided Celts to a 25-point lead in the Premiership and overseen a record-breaking run of 28 domestic games without defeat.

Asked if Rodgers viewed his stewardship as a four to five-year plan, Davies said: “Yes, that’s what he talks about.

“It’s not just about this season but the foreseeable future, seasons ahead.

“There’s a focus on now but with an attitude to build something here for a longer period as well.”

Celtic head to Perth Sunday lunchtime, when they will bid to extend their unbeaten domestic run to 29 matches.

Mad to think one of those 5 defeats was against Lincoln Red Imps! :giggle1: But thank * it has improved massively since then. I can see us finishing this season unbeaten which is mad.

Think he'll be here for five seasons. Generally I would say that three seasons is a long time as manager of Celtic and there is a risk of things going stale after that sort of time period.. But in three years time 10 in a row will be looming and I can't imagine Brendan would want to leave before clinching that.

If we manage to hang on to our players and they continue to develop we could have something really special.. Players like Griffiths, Rogic, Boyata, Armstrong and Forrest and Erik could be well in their peak and then players like Tierney, Jozo, Dembele and Eboue will all be 23-26.

It's amazing how Brendan has instilled such a strong mentality into a really young squad so quickly. Trying to savour every minute of life under him.

After winning the league cup and addressing the fans outside celtic park he got a bit emotional, said he was thinking about his dad not being here to see it. Obviously you can see how proud he was and how much winning trophies meant to him, that's why I think he'll be here for the long haul. 10 in a row will make him immortal.

Jesus Christ that band that Celtic use aren't half cookie cutter crap :giggle1: Can we get a band with baws that have dropped? Wee bit of swagger and that? If this was the 90's Charlie and The Bhoys would have came up with some belters.

Bodes well that he's planning 4-5 years ahead. It's exciting to think what he could achieve in that time.

Very interesting comments about Leigh Griffiths there. A wee window into what's been going on behind the scenes.

I love the way he talks about the game. Saying that for us to be a Champions League club we need players with a Champions League mentality. Which is absolutely right. I love having this guy as our manager. :49:
