Seth Rollins’ right knee was re-injured during Samoa Joe’s ambush at the conclusion of this Monday’s Raw, WWE.com can now confirm. The attack occurred as Rollins was heading to the ring to finally confront Triple H, who cost The Architect a WWE Universal Championship opportunity back in August.
WWE.com cameras captured footage of Rollins leaving the Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, Texas, Monday night, but no specific details on the former WWE Champion’s condition have been revealed. Rollins is set to be evaluated later this week.

Depending on how bad Rollins' knee is, coulf throw a spanner in the works for WM? The way it seemed, Rollins v HHH was on the cards, and now with Joe on Raw, my gut is that he would be used as proxy for HHH at times, but angling for a WM showdown with Balor, carrying on their fued from NXT considering Finn is expected back before WM also. But who knows?

Apparently Undertaker is also hurting after the RR match, and may need more surgery on his hip.

 

We noted earlier in the week via Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio that plans for current WWE Champion John Cena at WrestleMania 33 were said to be “not necessarily good news” and probably “wouldn’t be celebrated” by fans.

There have been rumors of WWE doing Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania in Orlando. That rumor was acknowledged by Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live today, noting that the rumor mill has cranked up in the last 48 hours.

Regarding Samoa Joe’s match for WrestleMania 33, Joe vs. Cena was considered at one point but then taken off the table. Alvarez noted that one idea discussed at today’s WWE creative meeting following the Seth Rollins injury announcement was putting Joe on SmackDown to have him wrestle Cena. Triple H vs. Seth Rollins at WrestleMania is now up in the air but we haven’t heard what they had planned for Joe. Joe would’ve likely feuded with Rollins in the lead-up to Rollins vs. Triple H, with a potential match at Fastlane later this month.

If Cena and Nikki vs. Miz and Maryse does happen, the build could begin in the lead-up to the February 12th WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. That show will see Cena defend inside the Chamber against Miz, AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, Bray Wyatt and WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose. Nikki is currently feuding with Natalya but they will face each other at Elimination Chamber.

TBH, the only reason Cena would agree/want to do something like that would be to do something like win the match and then pop the question to Nikki. Don't know if he is the sort that would go for that or is the one angling to do that, but the way that Nattie in her fued with Nikki has been carrying on about Big Match John will end up leaving her and all this sort of thing.

This would be a massive WM moment, something to rival Randy Savage & Miss Elizabeth, from 25-odd yrs ago (even though that wasn't at WM, but just saying), so if it were that this was the case, I could see why go down this route. But really, nothing else makes sense with this given scenario.

 

No chance, Cena is a big heel to women in real life, think it has to with with first marriage but I don't see him doing anything like that at WM.

 

Maryse back in wrestling gear would be the only highlight

Gutted about Rollins, hopefully it isn't as bad as first thought.

Depending on the seriousness of it i'd still like him on TV time being apart of Raw cutting the odd promo to keep the feud with HHH going up until Mania where he'll hopefully be fit to wrestle.

Samoa Joe needs to be on Smackdown.

 

You can see Vince is slowly sabotaging Smackdown winning the ratings from RAW really annoyed him

 

It's bullshit. Don't see the problem in having two very strong shows week in week out trying to out do each other. But hey, who cares what the fans want?

 

Smackdown lacks a top heel coz AJ is getting babyface reactions and Corbin isn't ready, it was Joe's spot but Vince stuck him on RAW

 

Ember Moon is just incredible in the ring, she has one of the best finishers in the WWE as far as i'm concerned. Without doubt should be the next NXT women's champion.
