Such a good listen. A wee friendly warning across the bows for Griffiths with regards to his condition.

One part to take away from that:

    "24 hour a day professional"

This was asked of the players by the previous manager. Hopefully, the players will heed this. Its the least these guys should be doing not only for the better of themselves but do it for the fans and the club. Not one player is above that.

BR on tonight's win: "It was well deserved. We had to be really patient."

BR: "Aberdeen were confident having won their last five games with two days extra rest."

BR: "There weren't too many openings. Aberdeen played a man-marking game so we had to tire them out."

BR: "Second-half we were excellent and eventually created the opportunity to score and could have had more."

BR: "We played a different system, they took it on board and it didn’t affect their fluency."

BR: "It was a brilliant victory for us and another clean sheet."

BR on Boyata: "He was outstanding again. It was difficult coming from Man City with the expectation of that but he’s really worked hard."

BR: "He got applause at the end from supporters and was deservedly man of the match."

BR on next target after going 25 points clear: "The next target’s to win against St Johnstone."

BR: "I said to the players before the game that Feb 3 last year they played against Aberdeen away and lost the game."

BR: "Aberdeen went three points behind Celtic. In less than a year they’ve gone 27-points in front."

BR: "That difference means you can’t go soft. You have to keep fighting."

How * good is this man?

Genuinely think he has improved every single one of our players in some fashion. Turnaround for Boyata now, aswell as GMS, Forrest and Armstrong. Unreal.

AFTER watching his team establish a 25-point lead at the top of the SPFL Premiership following tonight’s 1-0 win over Aberdeen, Brendan Rodgers has stated that his team will not slack off in their search for further success.

With 67 points garnered out of a possible 69 in the league, the champions are on a seemingly unstoppable winning streak now stretching to 18 games in a row and they remain unbeaten in domestic football since the Irishman took over in the summer.

However, despite the massive gap between the Bhoys and their closest rivals at the summit of the table, the manager insists there will be no let-up.

“The next target’s to win against St Johnstone,” he said after tonight’s deserved 1-0 win over the Dons, courtesy of Dedryck Boyata’s second-half header. “I said to the players before the game that it was February 3 last year they played against Aberdeen in a similar sort of timeline away but they lost the game and Aberdeen went three points behind Celtic.

“I said if you win this game tonight, in less than a year you go 27 points in front of them. That difference and how you create that means you can’t go soft and you have to push. You have to keep fighting so let’s make sure. We’ve got a record number of wins, great, but we’re not going soft. We have to fight, we have to be relentless and we have to win, and they did that.

“We’re 27 ahead of Aberdeen, 25 ahead of the others and what we’re trying to create is an attitude for the next four or five years and beyond. That means we have an obligation to play well and win games.

“You can’t ask any more of what they’re doing at the moment. You look at their energy in the game to press, to defend was fantastic, but win the next game is always the target.”

Can we just * the 'rolling contract' out the window for this man.

Tie him down. We won't get better.

What we're doing now is surely beyond any of our expectations at the start of the season. The excitement when he was announced and unveiled was palpable, and apart from maybe 3-4 poor matches, that feel-good factor has remained ever since.

He's just breathed new life into a club that was beginning to go stale under the previous regime. Stuttering nervously to a title, faltering in Europe and so many players looking like they were scared to play, almost.

Now, we've already won a trophy and we're in with a great chance of a treble, an unbeaten season and a 100 point season in Rodgers' first year. We restored a little pride in Europe, he's recruited well and has rejuvanated individuals as well as the group. There aren't too many players who are worse now than they were last year (Griffiths and Roberts?).

The scary thing is, this is just the start. We've got a fair bit of deadwood to cut from the squad in the next window, and you'd imagine he'll add more quality in certain areas. If Rodgers has the hunger to push this team, we'll be in for a fantastic few years.

It is, I expected a slow start while we changed things around. Turns out it was only 'slow' when compared to Rodgers standards the rest of the season.

I imagine each year he signs a new deal, it is vastly improved based on how he meets his targets. So long as Desmond has a mint, I think Rodgers will keep signing :34:

Not to put a dampener on things and I know there will be targets beyond domestic football, but if we're 20+ points clear at this stage every season, how long before he gets bored?

It's nothing short of amazing when you look at what he's done, especially with the players that weren't performing under ronny.

It's an unbelievable run we're on, and I'm just enjoying every minute of it, and when it eventually does end I think the Brendan and the players deserve a standing ovation for it.

We'll no doubt look back on this as some of the best memories we ever had as Hoops fans :shamrock:
