Seeing some nonsense here. Kolo has had as many bad games as good ones for us? Absolute bollocks.

He made 2 mistakes against BMG and had a bad first half against Motherwell. Other than that he's done a great job.

Anyway, this is from the ETims Twitter

    Wee bit of Kolo info.
He's been acting as mentor to defenders & providing one to one coaching. Might explain part of reason for improvement

Kolo already big influence on Moussa & also now has Eboue under his wing. This plus defensive coaching sessions. Players love him.

Kolo Toure has played thirteen games for Celtic and in those 13 games the team has conceded 29 goals.

    Agree with this.

I reckon it would be a disappointment if Toure was a regular in the side, as it would raise questions over the ability of others in that position.

Toure filled a big void at the time. He came in when we had little to no centre backs, let alone any with experience. We're no longer in that position, our future rests with Jozo and Erik

    All his fault then?

Don't judge performances through stats. Judge them with your eyes. Toure has been a fantstic signing, on and off the pitch.

You won't find many who disagree.

    And?

In only ONE of those games did he have an absolute nightmare - the Gladbach game at CP.

Do you forget his colossal performance in the final qualifying game of the group stages?

Even Brendan is more or less quoted on a weekly basis stating how invaluable he has been both on AND especially off the park.

No I don't judge performances through stats, that one is pretty damning though. He has played thirteen games and has had a few absolute nightmares yet he gets praised. I just find it strange that a player who is rumoured to be one of our highest earners can be praised for under performing.

Kolo was poor against Motherwell and Gladbach, other than that he has been a solid signing, he more than contributed to us getting into the CL

A few nightmares being 2 mistakes against BMG and 45 minutes against Motherwell?

I don't think that's bad at all. Considering he got us to the CL and, although it was ultimately meaningless, got us a point against City at home.

Really don't understand how anyone can be negative about him. Keeping him
beyond this season would be great.

Motherwell and Barcelona were worse performances than BMG. Colossal performance? I wouldn't class any of his performances as colossal.
What do you expect Brendan to say about a high earner he signed? Anyway, he isn't on a coaches wage, he is on a players one.

Really? That is an incredibly bold statement, he only played 2 qualifying games, in one the whole team was a bit of a shambles. If any defender got us to the group stages it was Erik, he shored up that defence when he came on in Israel.

Correct - and if you are stupid enough to think that our players are only expected to deliver on the pitch, then there is no hope for you.

If Brendan says he is invaluable to this team and it's group of players, then I'm pretty sure I'm more than likely to go with his assessment over yours in all honesty.

Your first paragraph is just utter nonsense.

Can you point out to me where I said our players only have to deliver on the pitch, it seems you have difficulty with basic comprehension.

To be fair probably about 8 of them were in Europe.

Erik made a big difference but were it not for Toure our centre of defence would have been suicidal at that level.

I bet O'Connell would be very complimentary of Toure and how crucial it was to have his experience in those games.

It seems you lack the ability to read over one's reply to your post - did you notice the part in which was replied in bold?

    Go have another look, champ.

I did, and I will ask the question again and you might understand it this time, though I don't hold out much hope.
Can you point out to me where I said our players only have to deliver on the pitch?
Take your time with it now, don't tax yourself.

No, because I never specifically noted you had made such a claim, even if your previous point may have underhandedly made reference to such a thought.

"Correct - and if you are stupid enough to think that our players are only expected to deliver on the pitch, then there is no hope for you."
It was clearly implied, otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned it. So you are either building a straw man to try and infer stupidity on me or you failed to comprehend the difference between someone being on a coaches wage and a professional football players responsibilities off the football pitch. I will leave you to choose your preferred failure in basic comprehension.
