Didn't know he was doing that. He's a very generous man. That is such a kind thing to do considering how busy his year is and how precious holidays will be for him and his family. I bet his personality helps encourage others to donate too helping with the over all contributions to the charity.

Brilliant person and I mean that in a non biased Celtic way. Anyone who gives up their time and part of their holidays like Brendan does is an excellent person.

Doubt they'd be quite as amazing a football manager though, he's unbelievable.

Merry Christmas Brendan and thanks for 2016 so far :62:

Wonder who the youngster is but he's highlighting the same problem that Ronny did when he came in, the Scottish diet and culture of drinking and eating * from a young age ruins a lot of great talent. Even worse the amount of older professionals that don't look after themselves in Scotland despite being paid a lot of money to be a professional athlete. I mean this is obviously a boy with big potential and is with Celtic yet he can't stop going to the chippy or eating crap.

absoloutely inspiring ,if that doesnt make young players sit up and wake up to the facts then nothing can ,this could have saw the result of wee miller getting a shot in the team to show others wot hard work gets you ,maybe a lesson to some .

Cheers for posting this. Hadn't seen it..

Absolute class from Brendan. If that doesn't work for the boy he's on about, then nothing will..

Love the wee way's he deals with different thing's. Putting it out there in a way he probably didn't to the boy himself..

Rate's him massively though whoever it is. Fat. Most club's would've chucked him for that diet and physique..

Andy Murray is a model pro and example for anyone in the country, he's absolutely right..

It's very clever. Carrot and stick all rolled into one: the boy sees himself described as a talent with the potential to play in the CL in a national newspaper and then, in the same article, is told that he'll never make it with his current attitude/physique and finally is given a (Scottish) elite athlete who epitomises Rodgers' philosophy as a role model to follow.

    Outstanding.

We're very, very lucky to have this man.

The difference in the team since this time 12 months ago is huge.

BR: "It was an excellent result and we had to be patient. It was a good goal from Erik and a great individual effort by Stu."

BR: "Really pleased with first 25 minutes of second-half. We controlled and played the game in their half."

BR: "That can kill the momentum of an opponent. The players are worthy of being 16 points ahead."

BR: "Some of our play was fantastic. We just need to be a bit better in the last 10 minutes. That’s my only complaint."

BR: "Apart from that it was an outstanding team performance."

BR on Saturday's Glasgow derby: "It’ll be a battle, a tough game. There’s huge pressure on them to get the result at home."

BR: "We’ve played in big games under pressure and dealt well, stayed calm and got results."

BR: "It’s a game we’ve been looking forward to and finishes off a remarkable first-half of a season."

BR: "We aim to go there and win. We want to win every game and that’s the attitude for the weekend."

For the first time in years I'm really excited about our manager. Brendan makes me think that he could very well turn out to be the second best manager we've ever had and that's saying something. I just have this feeling like a strong vibe that this guy is going to be one of the greatest Celts and I only see good things to come. For me he really is the most amazing, humble and tactically astute manager we've ever had. I know folks will think I've lost my head when I say this but I just can't get over this growing feeling he's going to be the best only second to Stein himself.

Still some way to go before we can say he was as good as O'Neill and/or Strachan; he has the potential, of course, and dear *, I hope he stays here long enough to realise it.

Time will tell, but so far so good, even games where we are not at our best, i'm still enjoying the football.

If we improve our team closer to the levels of 2003-ish(excluding Larsson for obvious reasons) and start improving in Europe enough to get deep in to the Europa, on top of staying to win 10IAR, he's an undeniable legend and would be fondly remembered for decades to come.
