Peaky Blinders, Breaking Bad, House of Cards and Boardwalk Empire.

I think Black Sails is quite underrated as aswell.

Just starting to watch 11.22.63 (the JFK thing), so we'll see how that goes.

    The Wire

    Sopranos

    Breaking Bad

    Better Call Saul

    Quite a predictable list really

I liked 5 more than 3. But yeah it went downhill. First 2 seasons are amazing.

Dexter could have been an all time great but ran out of steam around half-way.

Finished Freaks and Geeks a few days ago. Belter of a show, raging there's only 18 episodes.

Need to watch that at some point. Did it finish with any cliffhangers or did it fee like it came to a natural end?

I was gutted finishing Firefly, only had 14 episodes. Criminal that that show was cancelled.

Its not a massive cliffhanger, but it was definitely written with the idea of a second season in mind.

Maybe its good that there was only 18 episodes so that the quality of it wasnt eventually diluted, but I think they would have been able to get at least another 18 episode season at the same level. Cant get my head around how it wasnt a success at the time.

Love some of the shows being mentioned.
Dexter, archer, soprano, rescue me (that was a nice surprise), all great.

Just finished homeland the other night, * superb as well. First 3 seasons great, but then season four the story takes a massive change and suddenly it steps up another level. Cant wait for season 6 next month, and knowing 7 and 8 are on the cards as well. Superb.

That all said, these dramas/thrillers are amazing, but currently just rounding off a marathon of cheers and going to follow that in to frasier - absolutely love these shows and think they should be up there with some of the more filmatic/serious drama tv shows been mentioned as well.

Eastbound and down was hilarious. What was the final season count on that?

Flashforward was a * of a show for that.
Sure it was the guys who done lost that made it, thought it was excellent and it set up a superb first season only to be cancelled and left with nothing of the story actually answered.

Astonishing writing and acting, the subject matter was pretty desperate but still managed to create some of the funniest scenes ever seen on TV

    The Take..

    Making a Murder..

Don't really get in to many series'. Sopranos and The Wire are both excellent from bit's and bob's I've seen when trying to keep up to scratch, but I lose it from week to week or whatever and I'm gone... As you can't do it like that..

Throw wee Martin Compston in Line Of Duty. Liked that..
