Very good, but christ that tackle on Busquets in the first minute was stupid, no idea how we got away with that.

    Agree. Including last sentence.

You are suspect as * if you still have issues with Broon at this stage.

Aye, if Armstrong and McGregor were Wanyama and Ledley then we'd probably have been able to win 1 or 2 games even in this tough Group. They just arent CL class.

Thats surely got to be Brendan's priority to bring in 2 solid midfielders, at least one anyway to play in the middle but a Brown/Ledley type who can play out wide in Europe would be good too.

We should ideally be getting atleast one in during the January window, I know it's not really the best one to buy in, but we need a settled side for the qualifiers next year, we done well getting through this years by getting in 3 big signings who settled quickly, if we leave that to the summer window we might not be as lucky.

We got Broony from Hibs when he was still young and full of potential. Who was that manager and why can't we get McGinn? Everyone says he's Broony's heir? Plus there must be other players in Europe who can fill that role, deep playmaker who has the energy to protect the back 4 but also get the ball into good midfield positions so Rogic and co can make use of it. Bitton was supposed to be that man but he's not is he.

Just can't help feeling if Brown had a partner to help him out we'd have some team because our defence would be so solid and our attacking midfield would get service.

McGinn is out for 3 months now which knocks any potential January bid on the head. Possibly even next Summer depending on how he bounces back from it.

I think he's a natural replacement for Brown, my issue with signing him is I don't think he is the type we need to play beside Broony just now.

We're on the market for creativity, by Rodgers' own admission.

Said before I would take McGinn in a heartbeat, of course he isn't the finished article but there is defo talent there to work with, the other thing I like about him is he has a bit of dig needed for the Scottish game.

Just goes to show what a good manager can do to a player. Sadly Brown has never been managed by someone of Rogers class and it shows. His passing & movement has increased ten fold. Scary to think how good he could have been given better managers throughout his career

Brown has been excellent for us for years. You think it's just since Brendan arrived he became a good player? You've obviously not watched him or are just biased.

One thing that bothers me and I admit I want it myself is 'the creative midfield player'. That must be the most sought after player in the world after a decent striker.

How are we going to get not one but two creative midfielders? I'm hoping we use our CL money we just won and go to the European market to find them like we did Simunovic and Sviachenko. I would prefer it if we had our own but I'm not sure who's the best midfielder we have apart from Miller but he's more a winger? Is Lindsay a central midfielder? Most of those guys in the Development Squad are probably too young for the first team, KT is an exception. I trust Brendan to spot young talent though and bring them through like O'Connell. I don't know what he's doing with McGregor but I don't think it worked out last night even if it did against Killie. We should have had wingers on last night. But as I said before if McGregor is an all round player then let's keep him and play him but not ahead of specialists.

He's been our best and most consistent player this season.I only hope we can get a few more seasons out of him with this form as he's going to be difficult to replace.

Was just looking at the stats from the match there, he was the 2nd most accurate passer with 95% accuracy from 61 passes, Mascherano was best with 98% from 59 passes.

Actually one of the most accurate passers in the Champions League this season averaging 94.4% completion. The 7th best overall or 5th best as two players above him havent even played 90 minutes. Also averaging the 34th most passes per game out all the players.

Never said he's not been excellent for us, which he has. I just think he's a different animal now for us than he's ever been. His whole game has improved and his passing stats talk for them self. He seems to have got an extra yard of pace as well.

Ive watched Miller a few times in the youth champions league. He was a step above the rest of the team - in particular the Barcelona away game where we lost 2-1. He looked a great talent and i fully expect him to break through to the first team. Hard to believe he's only 18 seems to have been around forever!

Aye it's nuts how long Miller seems to have been on the scene. He was regarded as a prodigious talent a few years ago I think that is when he was brought to our attention. Good to hear he's playing well. I've not seen him for a while but he looked brilliant. He can put some cross in. There's another youngster we just signed, Crossan, he's 17 and he looks decent as well. Pretty skilful.

Sorry if I sounded like you didn't know Broony, I guess it did come across like that but I didn't mean it. I'm sure you know the team well enough! It is great to see Broony with this extra energy, makes such a difference to the team.

Sounds like our youth team gave Barca a good game? 2 1 is pretty good considering the talent pool they draw from.

An advantage I think that will help Miller progress hopefully is his build, he looks quite strong and that is usually a big hurdle for players making the step up. I think it's creating a bit of a challenge for Nesbitt? I might be wrong as I haven't seen him for quite a while but he looks like he could do with adding some bulk so he can handle 1st team players?

    What happened to Ralston?

    Hendry is another promising player.

That's strange, I'm having a look at the Development Squad and I don't see Aicheson or Ralston.

Broony is a youth team coach isn't he? That's good for us as he'll have so much experience to share. Plus his commitment is great for them to see. Do we have any box to box midfielders coming through the youth system?

Hoping for another classic captain's display from Broony on Sunday, if he plays well it really increases our chances of a win because we'll dominate the game. Especially because there will be a lot of pressure on us, if Broony can grab a hold of the game it'll really settle everyone else down. Would be brilliant to get a trophy so early in Brendan's tenure.

I feel like a right * after the stuff I posted, about him being finished last season. Just as well I'm not the manager eh. :52:

He has been brilliant this season so far for us. Back to his best, and dare I say it, I think he's playing the best he's ever played for us. Long may it continue.

I know he's not the most popular guy amongst supporters, but I've always loved the guy. The way he fights for his club and his behavior against the Huns has always stuck with me.
