I'll drink lager quicker as it tastes poor if it is warm and flat.

It depends who I'm out with.

I'd say normally I'd be around 30 minutes a pint.

When it's a lads night out everyone goes a bit mental. The first countless rounds are drunk way too fast before people gradually get slower.

There's nothing worse than the folk that think they are big drinkers and rarely ever finish a drink. Nobody ever admits that the half finished drinks on the table are theirs.

That would be a shame if they produced such a lovely drink and then discontinued it. It does sound nice. Maybe people were downing it too quick in pubs and it was causing all sorts of mayhem so they have to withdraw it :giggle1:

It would be nice if they sold it in cans like Draught Guinness.

1st pint usually down in 5 mins, then I get slower and slower, after 7/8 pints will hit the vodka or Corona.
Just depends who you are out with and whats the occassion. For watching football will only have a few so will take my time but if it's for a * up then folk try to outdrink each other and it gets messy very quickly.

Great Topic!! All depends really,on average about half an hour, but sometimes pints go in 15 minutes,of course walking in the pub after a long walk then 2 can go in next to no time.
I remember back in the day walking into a cool Pub with 2 very good mates and one of them said "What do you want?" i said "2 pints of Strongbow" not believing me,he got just the one,it was gone in 3 swigs,so he got me another and said "You were not kidding!" It was a warm day and we had just been for a sizable stroll.
I know a few more classic occasions drinking pints, may let you know as i am on the Scrumpy Jack in a bit.

About a half hour maybe twenty minutes if I am watching Celtic and more excited than usual. Used to think I drank fast until me and my mate went out with the older guys from his work, he was beyond hammered trying to keep up with them and I was not much better. I can drink around ten pints and still be not too bad if I pace it at 2 an hour

Probably about 10 mins, my big mate orders 3 at a time and is usually half way through the 3rd by the time I'm finished my 1st.

I'd say around 30 minutes, though I usually only go for a pint if I'm playing pool or darts.

It was weird, it had no bubbles at all and this really creamy head. 5% too.

It was the creamy head that swung it, right?

Seems quite innovative and similar to Guinness in that it had to settle before drinking?

I think I might have guessed right why we don't see it anymore.

A quick look at this thread on the net shows a few guys saying it was crazy stuff because it was too easy to drink and caused folk to get in quite a state quite fast and the hangovers were bad?

If they were selling it up the Byers Road I can imagine a few students getting totally wasted on it because you could drink it quick and it was 5%. :36:

Pint of water before bed cures most hangovers, amateurs.

Aye we used to go down Byres every Saturday. A wee jaunt round Fopp and a wee independent record shop beside Ashton lane for some CD's then park up in Curlers and get mashed on SD. Curlers had a fantastic jukebox as well.

    Magic days.

Oh man I loved Fopp, they had some brilliant original gear in there, cheap too.
