We definitely don't need him, but I'd just love to see a player of his calibre in the hoops.

I can only assume you haven't seen Ki play lately.

Dear * no, would gain absolutely nothing from taking Ki back. He's ran his race here and gave us a decent transfer fee and that door is firmly closed we should all hope.

I have. And I've seen Gerrard play as well. He's completely done. He wasn't even a guaranteed starter for LA Galaxy at the end up.

If the option is there I'd defo consider it for us, he is a player who the likes of Ajar, Armstrong, Hendo and even Bitton can learn a lot from him

I don't know about not needing him.

We are certainly lacking in CM, that is clear for me. Although he isn't what he once was(if he was we wouldn't be anywhere near him anyway) he could still provide some excellent attributes which could help the side for a year or two.

I definitely want a younger, more dynamic CM in, maybe even two, but as I said a few pages back it would be hard to turn down the opportunity to take a player like Gerrard, even just to see him in the Hoops once.

    All about the collective
There's a bracket of players that are ending their careers and topping up the pension in the process that should be avoided.

Gerrard is not part of that , he's above it , one of the best of this era and we should always be striving to bring in a player of his stature.

Reality is also that if an ageing player is looking top up the pension they don't come here. any player that comes here of that quality is coming for alot more than money.

I hope we get Gerrard if the rumours are indeed true.
But I hope he doesn't turn out to be like Roy Keane (past it with ageing legs).
In saying that pirlo is still class and doesn't do too much running and is still playing at the age of 37.
Brown can do all the running and Gerrard can break up play, ping the ball about and score the odd rasper.

Not sure about this. A very good player in his day, but im not sure that him and Brown in the middle would give us the legs we need to drive the team forward.

As a coach and mentor I think he'd be great.

Great player, but he is finished now as the pace has gone......so probably could not press the play the way the manager wants.....rodgers has been all been about pressing the opponents....cant see how gerrard could do this with his now limited pace.
If rodgers feels commons cant be trusted to press how will gerrard be able to do it....watched gerrard a few times playing mls and he was done......but still a great player in his day imo.
